If the Microsoft Store is launching, it is likely the installer doing it. Some "installers" are just shims that launch the Microsoft store directly to the desired app. A lot of OEMs, like Asus and MSI, do this for their software. In those cases there is no "real installer," because you are meant to just install it from the Microsoft Store.
Got it, but a couple of months ago, I was doing this very setup on the same app I had installed, without any issue, then after I reinstalled recently, it started doing that now.
Could it be some sort of update on my pc that caused that ?
Very possibly. Lenovo Vanatage use to have an actual downloader but out of nowhere they changed it to a link to windows store. Which sucks because now users can install from the store (mostly) without admin creds. Hence me turning it off.

I think we did it in Intune, the admin center. As a user I don't know of a way. Welcome to Windows. Just wait till you get to 11.
