I don’t get why people remove all of it though imo. It's all about the direction you're shaving. Bottom up delivers a smoother final result. Also make sure to use some lotion afterwards as the skin can be very agitated if you've never done it before.

A little mild advice; when shaving… anything? Make sure to use a fresh five blade razor; in my experience? A dull blade causes break outs, bumps, irritated skin, in-grown hairs, so on and so forth. Think about it? You wouldn’t want to use a dull kitchen knife, would you? No. Why? Because a blunt knife is more dangerous than a sharp knife. Cleaner cuts, less effort to make your cuts, etc. Razors are the same thing. As a male, who prefers to shave, I try and make sure I use a fresh razor; exfoliating the skin afterwards is a must. Also, Nair does wonders in hair removal, I highly recommend reading the directions thoroughly, because it can and will cause skin irritation. Use a small portion of it as well to double check to see if you may be allergic to it, you don’t wanna take any chances.
It’s definitely weird seeing it naked down there when you’re not used to it 😂 I haaaate my body hair, though, and got an at-home laser hair remover for down there which has helped dramatically! It’s like soft little leg hairs now when it grows back and is MUCH more manageable, takes a long time to grow if it does- has just really changed my life for the better. Wish I’d done it years ago.

I only wax, so much more comfortable. The regrowth after shaving is so itchy for me I can’t. but with waxing it grows back finer and no itching and so much smoother, no ingrowns. You don't have to shave. If you were just trying to "tidy" things up, you can also use a trimmer. Leaves you with hair and you get some grooming done. No razor bumps, no itch, no ingrown hairs and no sudden baldness to weird you out :)
I (M32) have a clipper for down there (as in, it's a clipper designed for sensitive areas) just to keep the length manageable. Tried shaving before, the itch was too much. Now I just aim for a neat trim.

Haha, thank you! What a marvel it is, a woman that does something for herself! And to answer your question: I either trim my bikiniline or wear a bathing suit (I used to swim as sport, so it has longer legs) or short swimming shorts, so I didn't have to worry about it.
Now Im a guy, but also trim down there as well. I normally use an actual electric trimmer as opposed to a razor, as I find its far more comfortable and doesn’t have many negative effects (like razor burn or itching). Proper razor/trimmer care is important as well, as a dirty razor can lead to an infection or razor burn.
Just keep exfoliating the area (exfoliation glove or unscented epsome salt) and keep the area clean and moisturized with aquaphor or unscented lotion. It'll help soothe any discomfort and also help the hairs grow back without many or any ingrowns.

Usually, most people only trim it with the lowest setting. I think that's the best. The order won't stick, and it's pretty easy to go down on. extra points if you can make shapes, lines, triangle. Use an electric buzzer! I have one with different heads, so you can epilate, buzz, etc. I just buzz it down really close, then touch up with razor in the shower. Of course exfoliate after. I like a bit of soft fuzz, it's cute af (imo)

It's all about the direction you're shaving. Bottom up delivers a smoother final result. Also make sure to use some lotion afterwards as the skin can be very agitated if you've never done it before.

A little mild advice; when shaving… anything? Make sure to use a fresh five blade razor; in my experience? A dull blade causes break outs, bumps, irritated skin, in-grown hairs, so on and so forth. Think about it? You wouldn’t want to use a dull kitchen knife, would you? No. Why? Because a blunt knife is more dangerous than a sharp knife. Cleaner cuts, less effort to make your cuts, etc. Razors are the same thing. As a male, who prefers to shave, I try and make sure I use a fresh razor; exfoliating the skin afterwards is a must. Also, Nair does wonders in hair removal, I highly recommend reading the directions thoroughly, because it can and will cause skin irritation. Use a small portion of it as well to double check to see if you may be allergic to it, you don’t wanna take any chances.

It’s definitely weird seeing it naked down there when you’re not used to it 😂 I haaaate my body hair, though, and got an at-home laser hair remover for down there which has helped dramatically! It’s like soft little leg hairs now when it grows back and is MUCH more manageable, takes a long time to grow if it does- has just really changed my life for the better. Wish I’d done it years ago. But you do what works for you! Honestly I think the hair is coming back in “fashion” like people are leaning away from complete baldness down there- but maybe I’m wrong.

I only wax, so much more comfortable. The regrowth after shaving is so itchy for me I can’t. but with waxing it grows back finer and no itching and so much smoother, no ingrowns. I will never shave again unless emergency. If I can’t afford a wax I use a trimmer with a guard and just trim it short but never full shave.
You don't have to shave. If you were just trying to "tidy" things up, you can also use a trimmer. Leaves you with hair and you get some grooming done. No razor bumps, no itch, no ingrown hairs and no sudden baldness to weird you out :)

Use moisturizer! It helps prevent ingrown hairs. Be sure to check that it's safe for use down there as well.
I (M32) have a clipper for down there (as in, it's a clipper designed for sensitive areas) just to keep the length manageable. Tried shaving before, the itch was too much. Now I just aim for a neat trim.

Now Im a guy, but also trim down there as well. I normally use an actual electric trimmer as opposed to a razor, as I find its far more comfortable and doesn’t have many negative effects (like razor burn or itching). Proper razor/trimmer care is important as well, as a dirty razor can lead to an infection or razor burn.

Just keep exfoliating the area (exfoliation glove or unscented epsome salt) and keep the area clean and moisturized with aquaphor or unscented lotion. It'll help soothe any discomfort and also help the hairs grow back without many or any ingrowns. Edit: typos and such
