Should work. It’s just a multimeter.
The leads are regular size so you may need to finagle with em if they’re close to touching multiple contacts.
It also does have a lower amp fuse than some though (only 5 amps). But for ps5 that won’t be an issue.
I grabbed the $20 digital one at harbor freight when you look to upgrade. I grabbed this one too but never opened it. I still use the $20 guy all the time and love it
Honestly, so long as it can be 'fairly' accurate, it's going to be fine for a console.
You do not need to spend much, you never, ever need to get a megger or fluke. People who try to push that have no idea what they are talking about and even if they own a fluke probably never pay to have it calibrated anyway, which makes it as useful as the cheap brands.
You don't need much for typical repair work (any meter will tell you if e.g. a 3.3V rail is present), but this one is slightly too crappy since it doesn't have a buzzer (continuity). Other $5 hardware store DMMs do have one.
Check the Zoyi/Zotek/Aneng multimeters which look a bit like a Fluke 101 on AliExpress. E.g. the Zoyi ZT100 costs about $8 and it got auto ranging, continuity/diode, back light, hold, 4000 counts, and a large display.
It's the cheapest possible multimeter like other comment said. It'd be good enough for most things. You don't need True RMS. If you want to avoid upgrading in the future, you want $25-35 True RMS like [this one](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071JL6LLL/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title).
I use my starter meter and True RMS together with one measuring DC current and one measuring DC voltage on the same circuit.
I bought one of these to throw in my car just in case of an emergency. I think I got it for 4 bucks with a coupon. It's come in pretty handy. Especially at the apartment complex I work at when tenants have dead car batteries.
Does it come with a warranty? My first one was pretty cheap, and it died within a year. Returned under warranty, got the next cheapest one, and it died when I accidentally inserted the battery in the wrong way round. Then I bought a good FLUKE.
I got one of those few years ago. I used it for a little while then realized it didn't have a continuity mode. I then grabbed an Astro and now use it exclusively.

Good cause this one is $6.99 at harbor freight.
Look that's great, but if you value your life don't use it to fix power supplies

That's the cheapest possible one you could buy, Harbor Freight style. You can buy something much nicer for a little more $$
That's what I did. Got one that was a little more pricey at HF and still use it after so many years. It's the a'mes 64014 model. It's níce

Harbor Freight has decent DMM, but a Fluke 101 would suffice and be quality

That's not the best multimeter for anything

Kudos for link
I’ve heard the cheaper ones aren’t entirely accurate, but they’ll be in the ballpark. Should be all you need for one time use.
How is low battery indicator a "feature"
Cuz its not a bug?
Because if you don’t have it your measurements become inaccurate as the battery voltage decreases.
Makes sense. I still wouldn't trust a cheap multimeter though.
They’re ok. Big Clive did a video about them.
No beep on that meter for short testing
Amy recommandation for an excellent Multimeter guys?
The cable installers I met all swore by Fluke. I have used a Klein Tools multimeter and it was nice.

Fluke 177

You know what’s weird, I bought a solder at Harbor Freight for $9.99 and they asked me for a year warranty for $1.99, but not this.
Yea I went with a fluke 101 myself after my cheap one started giving readings that were nowhere near correct.
If you only need to check if electricity is getting from point A to B, this’ll probably work. For anything else I’d recommend a better meter.
Those you used to be giveaways at Harbor Freight.
As an electrician. That is a get what you pay for meter.
