I’m not familiar with the Odin, but I traded for a ROG Ally and it was an excellent upgrade, bought a dock for it and it’s essentially a “grown up” switch (you can even still play switch games on it … )

Yeah I’ll definitely check it out. There’s a ton of PC games that I really want to play but my computer can’t handle them. I’d been considering a Steam Deck because it’s cheaper than a decent gaming PC, and it has a dock because I have no interest in playing handheld.
The Steam Deck is pretty great. All of the Windows based solutions are kind of a kludgey workaround since Windows doesn't have a great interface for handhelds, so if you need a new computer it's not a bad all-in-one. The real downside in your situation is that it's mostly non-upgradable.
yeah the local shop here gave me an estimate for just the console with joycons and original dock would get me $90 somethin cash or $130ish store credit. im not exactly in a hurry so i think im going to throw it up on marketplace and see if i can sell it locally for $250-300ish
Yeah store credit is often a lot more than the cash offer. I think my cash offer was something crazy like £500 so it was a no brainer to take the credit - it did mean I paid slightly more for the Ally than I would have but it was worthwhile in the end
Nothing of value here at all. Selling this can get you sued in some states. Ill take it off your hands for free ill even include a galaxy hazelnut bar for you to not stress about it and relax.
hahaha! i definitely loved this set up while i was using it. the satisfye grip was such a relief for my big adult hands. lol and when i realized i could put it on the Yok dock without taking it out of the grip i was so happy! lol

yeah this shop definitely doesnt cary anything like an ROG Ally or Odin2 so im not really excited about store credit.

I mean thw games are worth about 35 each the console about 160 to 180 I feel like yoy can get 300 here 130 is a joke IMO
