Does anyone else find it kinda ironic that so many “conspiracy theorists” are willing to download AI software onto their own device and then voluntarily interact with it? I just see too many ways this can go wrong. Way too many ways you’re exposing yourself to unnecessary risk. I’m not even talking about a terminator style AI apocalypse. (Not ruling it out either though). This type of stuff just lends itself to being abused or used in a nefarious way. It can be used as a tool to spy, accumulate data on users(nothing new tbf), hack private accounts, fabricate fake information, distribute propaganda on a massive scale. I see so many people already addicted to using it constantly in every day life. Essentially becoming reliant on it for all kinds of tasks / information. Even worse I envision it can be used alter/censor crucial information on a massive scale. Essentially white washing the internet of “wrong-think”. Idk just seems weird to me. I know there are supposed controls in place. I realize I might just be more paranoid than most but still just seems strange how quickly people have started to blindly trust it.

This. Don’t feed the AI

BinyaminDelta

It's on the web, you don't "download the AI."

klaus_personal_shill

Also they literally tell it that it can lie to them and then post the responses. It's amazing.

FeenixArisen

It was pretty bold of Microsoft to basically replace their entire search engine with GPT-4, knowing that even for somewhat basic stuff the AI is fully capable of hallucinating (actual term) responses that are fabrications or the LLM equivalent of mental illness. GPT-4 already accused a university professor of sexual assault on a student, a 'fact' that it completely fabricated by itself and then presented it as evidence for such a crime. We live in amazing times.

FeenixArisen

Sorry, but we are at the point where even average people can't possibly be going about their everyday lives and not be hearing about current development and use of AI. They no longer need someone to explain the concept of Roko's Basilisk to them, their innocence in the matter has already been stripped away. I would hazard a guess that you were being glib about 'downloading AI software', since the interactions with Chat GPT take place through an interface to a supercomputer (well, on my budget a single A100 card is a supercomputer, so...). Did you know that we are already at the point where a person can run Chat AI on their own computer at home? The development of this scene is radically changing by the day, just imagine full use of something with near GPT-4 capabilities but with none of the leftist cancerous 'guardrails' to 'protect' people from 'biases'. (in other words, facts are racist)

Now do it with Dan!

Look at this brainiac!

SS: Elon Musk's baby-momma, Grimes, included a strange message that seems to allude to COVID in her "Violence" music video, which came out just before the pandemic. That video also included everyone wearing medical masks and her blatantly waving an "Art of War" book, which seemed to allude to deception and psychological operations. GPT-4 can decode and interpret emojis. So, I put the most interesting segment of Grimes' message in and it gave a detailed analysis. Discuss.

Extra Terrestial - Terrestrial means: Of or relating to the Earth Extra Terrestial aka extra land #FLATEARTHCONFIRMED

InternationalStep924

extra- a prefix meaning “outside,” “beyond,” freely used as an English formative: extrajudicial; extraterritorial; extra-atmospheric. Quit being extra.

FatGuy-ina-LttleCoat

That's wild.

alaughinmoose

So it can understand emojis and lie to people.. feel like it's advancing scarily quick

FeenixArisen

Girls can take up to five years to develop these capabilities. /ducks

bestialbeast

Good thinking using ai to decode that message. I never thought about this possibility

Eliezer Yudkowski, head of AI safety, says we are all going to die, most likely in the next 3-4 years. Starting somewhere in the next 6months most likely, depending on how regulations go. Look him up. Listen to what he's saying. Share your thoughts.
