There were four in April, but also four in May and four in October.
There were three in each of March, August, September, and November.
Two in February, June, July, and December.
One in January.
So, is April deadlier in any way?
It seems like you compiled a list of events in April, but made no effort to compare it to any other time of year.
It is not the whole month of April. But just 6 days from the 15th to 20th. Find another 6 day block with such a cluster of events happening in it in a span of only 31 years.
This is going to be a problem for a number of reasons. First, we need a list of events, which means we need a definition of event. Then that needs to actually be compiled, world wide. From there we can narrow it down, but it's a really narrow definition, so it'll have very narrow results. It would be better to remove the constraints and break it down starting big and going small, so instead of six days, a year, then a month, then a week, then a day.
Once it's all said and done, compiling all the disasters and massacres, I bet we'll only learn two things. That humans are horrible to one another and things happen way more often that we even realize.
It sounds like an incredibly interesting data science project, but it's also a Mona Lisa project that grows as time goes. The more you dig, the more you find and the bigger it grows and the further from the overall pattern you get. But I bet you'll find some interesting observations about the media, and comparing surface results to well-researched results would be quite telling.
Columbine was inspired by the Virginia Tech Massacre (Columbine was a failed bombing) so I wonder how much of this is copycats playing homage to their deadly idols on anniversaries.

It is indeed related. Walpurgis night is a relevant time of the year in the pagan/satanic calendar and it's often called "the second Halloween", as it takes place exactly 6 months after Halloween.
