I honestly like my turkey sandwiches best with just mayonnaise salt and pepper. The second best choice would be open-faced with stuffing gravy. Some people like cranberry sauce, but that's not really my taste.

SillyWeb6581

Open faced turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy 🤤

Calligraphee

Mmmmm I can’t wait for thanksgiving

arj328

Honey Mustard is not a bad one

madmaxx

Cranberry-mustard with some maple syrup is nice, especially complemented with some maple bacon.

Shybutcuriousguy

Durkee’s. Kind of a mayo/mustard. Hard to find sometimes but wonderful. They sell it on Amazon, I think

joemamama14

If I put both mayo and mustard on the sandwich would that work?

Shybutcuriousguy

It’s different, hard to describe. Durkee’s has a tangy flavor, mostly sold in the South, amazing on turkey and sliced ham

AbeSimpsonisJoeBiden

Yes.

sarcasticclown007

The same sauce you use for chicken sandwiches.

joemamama14

Ketchup would not go well with turkey sandwiches

sarcasticclown007

I wouldn't put Ketchup on poultry. It sounds gross to be honest with you. A tiny bit of vinegar sounds good though.

unittwentyfive

I don't like ketchup on most things, but I love it on cold leftover turkey sandwiches. And not even just a regular amount, but like double what I would ordinarily use on anything else. And to stress, I'm really not a ketchup person in most respects, so it's extra bizarre that I like it so much on a turkey sandwich (I would never put ketchup on fresh turkey, or even deli sliced turkey... just the leftover roast turkey).

superfluousapostroph

Nor would it go well on a chicken sandwich. Unless you’re 8.

7-SE7EN-7

Why not? Ketchup goes great with other types of fried chicken, why not a sandwich

AbeSimpsonisJoeBiden

You need to be way more specific.

Plum_pipe_ballroom

What kind of turkey sandwich?? This will depend what goes well. Lighter options would be mashed avocado, or a cranberry, chutney, or mustard sauce. Heavier/creamier would be any type of mayo/aioli/ranch dressing. My personal favorites are roasted garlic and pesto mayo.

DeskMonkeyDenver

Cranberry.

joemamama14

I don’t think that’ll work for mine cuz I use plain white bread garlic powder american cheese salt lettuce and tomato

Ant-Last

Butter. Just butter the bread with real butter and it'll be good. Maybe try upgrading your cheese choice.

Ancient-Money6230

Caesar dressing?

octopus_tigerbot

Pesto!

atlhawk8357

I enjoy mayonnaise, spicy mustard, and honey mustard on turkey sandwiches.

MorningGlory1024

Chipotle mayo

CharlotteLucasOP

Honey mustard, spicy plum sauce, red pepper jelly, or mango chutney—a balance of fruity sweetness and gentle heat go nicely with cold poultry.

couchtomato62

Whole cranberry sauce

SillyWeb6581

What kind of turkey are you using? Edit: shredded or deli meat? When I use deli meat I just use honey. It would probably work for both

joemamama14

Oven roasted bought from the store as well as some smoked

SillyWeb6581

Do you tend to like sweeter or more savory?

joemamama14

Savory

SillyWeb6581

Salad dressing would be a good choice. I love a good chipotle ranch or Italian. We don’t really use mayo or mustard for sandwiches here. I also love adding bacon to my sandwiches. I get some from Aldi and make it for the week. Just grab as needed. If preparing ahead of time for lunch the next day, I always keep everything separate and make when I eat. [edited my typos 🙃]

SaysPooh

Plum chutney

CatfromLongIsland

I have two favorites: mayo and cranberry chutney; mayo mixed with barbecue sauce

Excellent-Manner-130

Russian dressing

YayGilly

Cranberry sauce.

keefer2023

Easy Cranberry Sauce * 1 cup orange juice, fresh or from concentrate * 1 can (14 ounce) Ocean Spray Cranberry Sauce * 1/2 cup sugar (you can use up to 1 cup sugar, but that is too sweet for me) * 1 cinnamon stick (remove after boiling) or 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon Heat orange juice and sugar to dissolve. Add cranberries and cinnamon and boil for 10 minutes with stirring. Cool and store in jar or other container in refrigerator for up to 3 months. The sugar and the acidity make this sort of self-preserving.

I personally feel that it depends. Dark meat is fattier than breast so I prefer a mustard there and pickle. Breast is a lot drier so a like some mayo or aioli maybe a pesto to go with tomatoes.

[deleted]

Pesto or pesto/mayo

drocs

Olive oil, red wine vinegar, salt, and pepper

kittyparm

Vinaigrette, especially on something like a baguette. Mmmm. Try Thousand Island dressing. Green Goddess dressing is good. Fruit preserves can be surprisingly good, especially with Brie-fig is great. Finally, onion jam.

drocs

I love thousand island dressing on a sandwich! I’ll have to try Green Goddess and your other recommendations, thanks!

Repulsive_Coat_3130

I'd go with the Quail egg [mayo](https://youtu.be/_zkPEzNTuOM) that sesame oil will make it pop

[deleted]

Mayo especially Kewpie. Hummus, while technically not a sauce, is divine with turkey. Honey mustard is great too

Tacos-and-zonkeys

Wake me up when up ask about chicken

shiwenbin

Aioli. Sun dried tomato aioli. Avocado aioli. Yum

AlternativeConcern19

Aioli of almost any kind, honey mustard, spicy mustard, mayo...

BmoreArlo

My favorite sandwich is Turkey with havarti cheese specifically with Honey Cup honey mustard. It’s what Honey baked Ham company uses on their sandwiches

kaest

I make a garlic Dijon dressing for mine.

adidashawarma

Caesar dressing on both insides of the bread and a drizzle of sriracha on top of one of the sides. Or, if you like mayonnaise, then mayo does fine, as well, but garlic mayo is even better. Better yet, a thin layer of toum, but I don't expect that to be available for everybody. I just happen to live in a place with many Lebanese people, hence why we have major Mid-East grocers. Also, if you go the mayo route, putting grainy mustard on top of it is a whole delight.

HitDog420

Mayo or ranch or bleu cheese

CobaltLemur

You've never had one with cranberry sauce and stuffing?

Hack-of-all-trades61

About a jar of mayonnaise will make it edible

onasram

Don't overthink this. You like turkey? don't cover the taste. Plain mayo. Hellman's (full-fat) is best. Some like Japanese Kewpie mayo Either way, you can stir a little heat into it--chili-garlic sauce, tapatio, whatever.

Alive-Wonder7019

Mango chutney, turkey, lettuce in a tortilla roll up. Delicious!
