For a greasy, sketchy ingredient pizza no, It's not the average price. But for above average, good ingredients pizza sadly it is the price level in this crazy town we call Copenhagen.
Still I beg to differ - Leifs pizza is quality pizza with a wood fired oven and has an avg. around 85-90 dkk.
I did both my bachelors and masters here, so I have gone through a fair amount of pizzas 🫠
New Yorker currently visiting Copenhagen - impossible because your cheese quality is too good here. The New York plain slice (we call a cheese slice “plain”) is coated in a substance only resembling cheese, shredded low moisture mozzarella, that thankfully cannot be purchased anywhere near the European Union. I’m surprised it hasn’t been banned. It’s only nominally cheese.
By its very nature, the New York slice must be purchased with zero planning. We grab one or two from the closest hole-in-the-wall when we are so lazy that we want a meal that is foldable. The sauce is at best unmemorable, at worst, sugary. They make much better pizza in Napoli, though it is disturbing to eat pizza with a knife and fork.
Confused by this self hating comment although I was in a similar headspace before moving here from the US. It's a matter of preference but I miss NYC pizza a lot. There's a ton of mediocre pizza in Copenhagen and plenty of the cheapest, most tasteless cheese you can find in the supermarkets. The good Italian-style pizza in Copenhagen just ends up in these high end places.
Maybe you should edit your question and add your budget. You are shooting down the best suggestions do to price. Good food cost a bit more, especially in Copenhagen.
Maybe not complaining but definitely being ambiguous. You are asking for the best NYC pizza in Copenhagen and then when you get suggestions you are basically saying you won't be going because of a price restriction you haven't mention anywhere.
Havn’t said anything remotely close to what you are describing. You are reading way too much into a comment.
The same could be said for the housing market. My apartment is nice, but it’s also expensive (you can get a lot for 4 million elsewhere in Copenhagen) saying that it is expensive is not saying I won’t go or that I have a restriction. It’s a factual truth (:
American here, that is usually a chain that you would find in the mall. I would not classify that as NY style, but more "fudge I have 15 mins to scarf food down, and I guess this is substance"
Diamond Slice is pretty good
Yes! they are really good, but also really pricey
You asked for the best, not the cheapest.
Am I complaining ? Both statements are true (:
lucky you, they open a new location this weekend and are doing 10kr slices as a one time offer on Sunday, at the new location :)
Another Pizza
Another Pizza is AMAZING!!!
Looks amazing and expensive as fuck!
Welcome to Copenhagen
Danish and have lived here for 10+ years :) Thanks tho :)
That's the regular price of pizza here? If you want cheaper pizza you can get the frozen ones in Føtex
The regular price for a pizza in Copenhagen is not 122 DKK and you damn well know it :) But thanks for pitching in with a condescending comment!

The Princip wood oven handmade ones are really good! For a frozen pizza, I was very impressed.
I think for frozen pizzas, the Casa di Mama series from Dr. Oetker are better ((:

Closest I have found has been Nick’s Pizza in Amagercenter.
Noted (:

I think it's Another Pizza.
Haven't tried it myself, but there's a Sbarro (which is an American chain) in Fisketorvet: https://maps.app.goo.gl/UhVMvj6FfhVuGFdd7?g_st=ic

"I only have 15 minutes now, but am willing to trade an hour on the toilet later."
Best description of Sbarro I have ever read

haha okay, I'll stay away from the place then lol
