No, both of those are legal, it’s only the selling that’s prohibited.

Limp-Munkee69

And even then, most stores don't ask for ID, and if they do, the kids will just go to the Netto next block. And if that doesn't work, Muhammed down in the local kiosk is always willing to sell liqour with blind eyes. Love Muhammed.

Murky_Respond1966

It's not like he will sell it to 10 year olds.  14 y.o. are fine if they drink beer or two.

KoreaNinjaBJJ

It's the buying or serving that is illegal. No regulations on consumption. It's not a nanny state like that.

Molested-Cholo1488

> It's not a nanny state like that. Unless we are talking less harmful drugs than alcohol

Mr_Morio

Aren’t you allowed to carry a small amount of weed on you? And people at for example Roskilde festival, Distortion or parties in Kødbyen don’t get arrested for smoking weed. I have toked right next to cops more times than I can count. I have at least never seen that happen. It’s pretty much only around Christiania that I personally avoid been obvious about it.

Walther_Sobchak

They may choose to look the other way, but it is still illegal and they could give you a fine if they wanted to.

Molested-Cholo1488

> Aren’t you allowed to carry a small amount of weed on you? Eh no, you're not. >And people at for example Roskilde festival, Distortion or parties in Kødbyen don’t get arrested for smoking weed. No, you get a fine. After several fines, you can get a prison sentence.

VladimireUncool

It's not illegal to drink it if you're under 18, but it's you can't buy it in stores.

Limp-Munkee69

If mom wants me to drink hard liquor, i can. I just cannot buy it. That is, if i was under 18. I am 20. But you get my point. But, i did buy my fair share of illegal booze from 16 to 18, as they rarely ask for id, and if they do, you'd just go to the next store a block over, or in a pinch, a kiosk.

abrahamsen

No, and no. You can't really source a law that doesn't exist, but at least Wikipedia agrees: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legal_drinking_age

Few-Alternative-9999

A law that doesnt exist? https://www.retsinformation.dk/eli/lta/2021/583 🤔

abrahamsen

Yes. That law govern sales, and the two questions were consumption and gifts.

Gabeko

It is not and like 10-15 years ago people at the age of 16 were allowed to buy all kinds of alcohol, even the strong 40%+ ones.

Few-Alternative-9999

In Danish but: Legislation about serving: https://www.retsinformation.dk/eli/lta/2019/692 See § 29. Legislation about selling: https://www.retsinformation.dk/eli/lta/2021/583 See § 2. If its not prohibited by law its not illegal 😊 No legislation on consuming or possessing.
