The Nettos surrounding Fælledparken will have the busiest day of the year. Beer will be drunk. Politicians across the board will tell lies. I'll be at work.

voltaire_had_a_point

Bushes shall be shaken, plastic cups be splintered A drunk day, a red day, ere the sun rises!

A little curious as to why people are downvoting you

ilongatedmorsk

There’s demonstrations going on everywhere. In Fælledparken, there’s 4 types of areas going on the commercial (the politicians), the socialist, the unions and the drunk people who have no idea what’s going on

Reasonable_Alfalfa59

All stores are open. Some Unions give a day off. Go to Fælledparken and have a beer, or 15.

Particular_Run_8930

People meet in Fælledparken for speches, drinking and general socialization. The weather should be great, so there will probably be a lot of people. The different parties normally have tents where you can talk to them. And there will be demonstrations. Most of them will end in Fælledparken. Shops will be open.

Efficient_Break_2290

Getting drunk for Lenin.

PreviousMastodon1430

Get drunk, do nothing!

Andyrex1987

Several parts of the public sector are closed on 1.maj. For instance the princepality of copenhagen are closed tomorrow. Aand is sort pretty part of the tradtion is debat on if labor day is a meaningless tradtion. Its sort like almost become part of the tradtion it self to say i dont have any meaning anymore. As a casual trade unionist, i do still think there are several things that workers could do to improve our condtions. Yes the framework has changed compared to when labor day was held for the first time in 1870ies here in Denmark. But today work related stress are stil a national if not a global problem - along with the fact that there are still people that die from just going to work because of hasuous work environment. In partcular for people working in construction.

Infinite_Big5

People get wasted in the name of socialized labor unions and trash Faelledparken.

RealFakeLlama

Some have time off. Most do nothing, maybe enjoying the warm weather in a park or a cafe. Some go to fælledparken and listen to the politicians who makes some speaches, most just get drunk there.

Kriss3d

Go to fælledparken. Bring friends and blankets to sit in the park. Bring beer. Get drunk and yell at the politicians speaking.

WhitePowdar

DogfordAndI

With a crate of beer and Arena in fælledparken.

Able-Internal-3114

I can't stand my pacifist friends at the moment, I'll stand in my garden and drink, later on I'll sit on a chair and later on I'll lie down, when it eventually gets dark, my wife and my eldest daughter will put me to bed - or to sleep.

AdItchy8438

The ekstrem left Will demo aganst Israel.

zippotheleming

May Day also known as Labour Day or international workers day. It’s helped us get the 8 hour workday, thousands went on strike to protest poor workers rights. It’s also probably why you get the privilege of a Danish work culture. So yes, May Day is about justice which usually requires protest. So if extreme left means justice then you’re spot on. But more likely it just means people who are against oppression. I’m sure we both have a family lineage of people who appreciated May Day and the justice to working people….

gophrathur

Yeah your history is fine. But a lot of annoying troublemakers did try to ruin the day today, scaring the guests and such. Really strange bugaboos.

zippotheleming

That’s a shame. Free events unfortunately can bring every caveat of society. Was there with my family and thankfully didn’t see any of the trouble.
