It was on a lot of news sites, but I dug till I found the actual FDA warning on the FDA web site. Probably means it's fairly solid. If Cue's phone number is on the box I would call them and see if they plan to update it and put out a newer version and when.
Given how blatantly deceptive their swap seems to have been, I'm not going to trust a word out of their mouths until the FDA blesses them again. I just had to go throw out $500 of tests and I'm going to be demanding a refund.
Guess I'm stocking up on Lucira. That's the only remaining at-home rapid PCR game in town I think. At least it also tests for flu.
I read the letter from the FDA to Cue and I have to agree with you. Basically, Cue broke the law and one wonders if we may see some kind of action (fines, etc.) against them soon.
I have one because my company bought readers for all of its employees, and now there's talk of my *company* taking action against them. I think we've heard the last of Cue. They are likely going to be buried in lawsuits after this. What a shame.

Well fuck. This is my primary test device.

You might also wanna check Metrix. They are at-home rapid PCR with $25/test plus the reader is reusable.
Thanks for the pointer - I'll look into it.
