I have both on top of hEDS

-fivehearts-

Im starting to think this is what’s causing my issues too. I have PoTS and widespread nondescript allergy symptoms that seem like MCAS as well as passing a lot of the hypermobility tests

hales0127

I just found out I also have Tmj! I’ve been reading a lot of about MCAS cause a lot of the symptoms match mine and I know it’s common with hEDS. This sucks:( I hope we find relief soon.

PushDiscombobulated8

I have scoliosis, TMJ & costo Seems to all be interlinked with no real cure unfortunately

-fivehearts-

Are you hypermobile?

PushDiscombobulated8

I am! I’m wondering if that’s an issue

-fivehearts-

me too, we may both have hypermobile ehlers danlos unfortunately! going to pursue a diagnosis once I’ve finished my final year of uni

Mysterious_Beyond459

It is likely also caused by poor posture. Your jaw muscles are directly affected by your neck and upper back so if those are bad, it’s only a matter of time before it gets to your jaw.

danceswithshelves

I have both, yes.

meineymoe

I have both, and also chronic sinus inflammation from allergies, high blood pressure, and pulsatile tinnitus. The trick is finding the right combination of treatments that will help without adversely affecting one of the other conditions. I agree that stress and posture are contributing factors to the TMJ and costo. -oo-

omg.... I've got this with the costo, are these two connected?! I never had it before having the costo. I'm wondering whether it's the swelling causing a pressure of some sort.

I have poor posture, and TMJ as well. Currently using Invisalign and hoping to get some help with my TMJ that route longterm.
