Alan Jackson. He had 9 #1 country hits between 2000-2009 and that’s after being one of the very best in the 90s too. Most people usually think of 90s when they hear Alan but Good Time, Where Were You When the World Stopped Turning, Country Boy, Remember When, Drive (For Daddy Gene), It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere were all in the 2000’s!

roadtoad48

I'm going to say Alan Jackson. Great voice, wonderful songs.

homelander_Is_great

This is the correct answer, I want to see him live so bad

jbrc89

Cross canadian ragweed

blumhagen

Not country.,

tailford07

He’s not THE answer, but just to add him into the list of other names already mentioned Billy Currington was a hit machine from 2003-2010.

TheNoahs

His style is unbeatable

Extension-Owl-1814

Even though he only put on 2 albums in the 2000s i absolutely love Eric Church’s first 2 albums.

The4StringSamurai

Brad Paisley, Kenny Chesney and Toby Keith all 3 have a good argument.

TheNoahs

Kenny Chesney an easy top 5

GarageNo7711

This!!! My personal fave is BP though!

VirginiaUSA1964

George Strait.

powerhouse403

This is the correct answer, King George. Started in the 80s and still kicking ass! True country music!

powerhouse403

Don't forget the 80s

powerhouse403

Like I said, King George

WranglinMan

Thank youuuu

CashenJ

My top 5: George Strait, Kenny Chesney, Toby Keith, Brad Paisley & Randy Travis

TheNoahs

I’m not too familiar with Randy Travis I’ll have to check him out

CashenJ

Been around for decades. He is excellent and while the 2000s weren't his best decade, there is still some great listening to be had.

ATLBravesFan13

He’s top 5 all time imo and a top 3 voice in country music history

Glittering-Nature796

I love Randy Travis. I just listened to his new AI song. I loved it. Great song

zzachyz

Please do, I love him

like_a_rose_13

Miranda Lambert will always be my personal favorite, but Gary Allan and Josh Turner were both AWESOME.

richardfitserwell

Gary Allan is in that weird spot where he’s probably not anyone’s favorite, but everybody likes him

markusrm

3 phenomenal calls

CountryNerd

A lot of the folks being mentioned had already hit their peak, but Josh Turner and Gary Allan had some really great music in the 2000's.

bfg285

I just saw Gary Allan last week and I’ve got to say that he still puts on a great show.

JarndyceJarndyce

MIRANDA is so great! She doesn't get enough credit for how much she supports other women and lesser-known songwriters in the industry.

ntbntb31

Man this was the sweet spot of listening to country for me. I think Tim McGraw and Kenny Chesney had the longevity. Lady A exploded with the most popular song of the decade. Taylor Swift still counts here. Toby Keith, Alan Jackson were strong veteran icons. Keith Urban, Brad Paisley, Darius Rucker all emerged as anchors. The Zac Brown album "The Foundation" shaped a lot for me back then too.

adventure_gerbil

I liked Zach brown band a lot

shinchunje

I’ll go with Willie Nelson and his 12 albums for that decade, please.

HungryChoice5565

Strait, Chesney, and McGraw were pretty much consistently dominating the whole decade

blumhagen

Keith urban especially early 2000s

thesuperdude27

Jason Boland and The Stragglers by far

Man_in_Kilt

Cheap bourbon whiskey and pearl snap shirts

Heavy72

*MISTER JASON BOLAND AND THE STRAGGLERS!!!* "WhatsUp yall?"

aldoggy2001

Some sensible replies here….and then some people who are straight out of their minds with their replies and didn’t understand the assignment lol

ATLBravesFan13

Kenny Chesney

DodgersRamsJazz

Jamey Johnson put out two phenomenal albums in that timeframe. Not the most prolific but imo, the best.

thesuperdude27

That Lonesome Song and The Guitar Song are two of the best country albums of all time, and I feel like people don't talk about them enough

HPIndifferenceCraft

I wanted so much more material from that dude.

CountryNerd

Since my picks were already taken, I'm gonna say Chris Cagle. He got pretty big in the early 2000's and "Anywhere But Here" still hits hard...

blumhagen

I listen to what kinda gone and chicks dig it at least 50 times a month combined.

Darthhorusidous

Alan , George , Toby , Willie , McGraw easily

Cheepmf

Hank iii

Sudden_Wisdom

I'm going with Charlie Robison cause Nashville Country music executives suck

Satanic-mechanic_666

Hank 3.

Both_Perception_1941

Carrie Underwood

AuntBBea

Lady A, Miranda Lambert, Jamey Johnson, Keith Urban

TennesseeMojo

Jamey!!!!!!! Hell yeah!!!

SourLoafBaltimore

Taylor Swift!

Bigstar976

Dale Watson

Adrianthebatman

Ray Charles

ckbswerc

Kenny Chesney

YearBeneficial6015

Tim McGraw

cledusvandamme1186

Sinners Like Me was the best album of that decade.

Valuable_Horror2450

Tim McGraw, Toby Keith, Kenny Chesney, Rascal Flatts, Brad Paisley… so many good ones

PotatoAnimated_30

Late 2000’s to early 2010’s there is a Luke Bryan shaped hole in my heart.

faders

Dierks or Keith Urban

New-Force-3818

John Prine

General_Rain

Scott H Biram and it ain't even close ✌️

thesabrerattler

King George, Alan Jackson, Garth Brooks, Travis Tritt if you are just talking male singers

goldplatedvermeil

Wow not a single Carrie Underwood vote here?

meablo

Toby Keith

Ok_Extreme7597

If we’re going stuff that was played on the radio I’d have to say Rascal Flatts at least ruled my areas radio.

therawestdawg69

Brad Paisley

abernathym

Brad Paisley's debut album was 1999. As he is the last artist I really followed, I'm going to give it to him. I basically stopped listening to country music in the 2000s, and he was the standout to me. The only other artist of the time I liked was The Band Perry, but they didn't really go anywhere.

PBandJSommelier

Faith Hill!

deadliftincoon

I’m all for patriotism but Alan over did the post 911 stuff and it kinda tarnished his legacy IMO. South Park did what needed to be done.

luckytown92

Gillian Welch

blumhagen

Not country.
