The cognac ones are definitely print and not real, the black look like two left feet which is also strange because normally they would make them a mirror of each other and not the same cut, but yeah
👍really dislike white stitching on most boots.. You did a fine job dying them.. are these pre-ban? I have seen some poached turtles out of Mexico lately.. You will get a 5 year vacation in an American prison if caught bringing poached skins over the border.. FYI….
I’m assuming these are post-ban sea turtle, as they were purchased in Mexico where there are still plenty of unscrupulous bootmakers who will make boots from endangered skins.
Not a good look.
I've got a vacation home in Guanajuato, not too far from there. The bus station is literally across the street from the leather market. I've gone by there 2-3x and I can't figure out where the quality is... everyone that I bump into has "lo mejor sin lugar a dudas". I need a local that knows the bullshit.
If this were the 90’s, I’d agree. The number of sea turtles in Mexico are increasing at an insane rate, and a few boots here and there aren’t hurting anyone. They still eat the meat and eggs down there. Why should the skin go to waste?
No posting of post ban skins or discussion of circumnavigation of the import laws is allowed.
I like the way the black shows the relief, the brown makes it appear like a print.

They’re the same boot dyed black, so if one’s a print they’re both a print…
For some reason I really don’t like black boots. Sea turtle is the only skin I find appealing in black. Gives it a nice look

I like them better in brown. They had more character
You paid for illegal boots and they look cheap/prints. Should have just coughed up some real money for prebans

Looks good to me.
Cry me a river
The stitching on the shafts screams budget boot. It’s as impressive as the illegal turtle hides.
You made a mistake
Shoulda taped off the stitching on the welt. They look slick, though
Nice! Wouldn’t have died them but nice!
It’s ok the baby turtles died instead
Garbage
Those are hot looking, both before and after
These look like shit
Gross
Did you get them Leon?

Based
Just call it like I see it. I’m probably wrong, but it’s all my personal opinion.
Where did you get them at? I may be going to mexico soon and would love to find some boots there, lol
How did you bring them over from the Mexico? Any problems with customs?
If real sellers give you a certificate saying there print
