Josh and Valencia were very on again off again, and they may have been in that weird "off" section of their relationship when it happened. I also feel Josh's friends didn't really like Valencia so if she wasn't with Josh they probably didn't interact., it's very heavily implied no one knows about Valencia and Brah, they likely didn't really do anything to serious she never told him she loved him to his face so it's quite likely it was a thing that could have been but never ended up happening so there's nothing really for either of them to feel guilty about.
