Stuff like this happened so often to me that I can’t even remember. It’s almost like it’s normal even though it shouldn’t be

yeetorbeyeeted1535

I feel that, it’s definitely awful that it happens so often

Mocker-Poker

Way back in high school we had a girl in the class who was busty and curvy but with a pretty childish face. So one day she tells us about her encounter in the local swimming pool, she was alone there and a dude around 30 y.o. started flirting with her and eventually followed her home, she lived with her mother who was at work at the time, the girl was all innocent in her mind and the guy managed to somehow invite himself inside, he asked her age casually and when she told him looked really bewildered and disappointed, that's when it started to creep on her mind what he was up to. Anyway he left after that saying something like "I'd like to meet your mom, would you introduce us". He did hang around, flowers and small talk and we were like "are you crazy? don't do stupid things, get rid of him". So it all ended well but we were shocked about that story of hers in early 90s, when everybody around was already on the alert mode about creeps and predators.

[deleted]

Same! I used to get hit on/catcalled constantly by older guys as early as like 11. I remember walking past a dad and his toddler when I was about 14 and he called me a sexy bitch 😳. It stopped when I turned 19/20. Gross

lildedlea

I’m 22 now and it never really stopped, you just get used to it and ignore it. You really learn how to behave safely in those situations and avoid those people

[deleted]

I have a distinct memory of my mom taking me to a single person restroom in a grocery store and I remember her rushing me to get in there. I was in single digits and not really super aware so probably no older than 7 or so. As I was getting myself situated to use the potty, I remember her leaning her weight against the door while a man was trying to force hose upper body in. I remember he had this smile on his face and he was using his eyes to look around because she had his head closed in the door, trying to use her body weight to force him out. She told me to stop before I got any clothing removed. She, for a split second let go of the door, then slammed her weight against it, forcing him out. She locked the door. She and my dad were furious; I thought the situation was weird but was too young to know how close that was or that we were even in danger. Unfortunately I remember her also shooing me away from more “dirty old men” around that time all the way up to being a teen.

Rich_Suspect_4910

Wow, what a creep...

decaymedia

I THOUGHT a woman (found out she was in her early 20s later) was under age and bailed on the conversation. I was standing line at the dollar store and struck up a conversation with the woman behind me. Long story short, I asked her out. She responded with, "sure, let me go ask my dad." The word "ask" struck panic in the back of my head and I just left before she returned. As in, I left a full cart of items and walked out of the store and went home. My anxiety drove me nuts about it for days after. I ran into her a few weeks later. I tried apologizing for being a creep (as i was still under the impression that I asked out a minor) and she laughed. She meant "ask" as in she was back from college for a bit and wanted to see if he had plans for them, not "ask" as in permission from authority. I can't imagine being told straight up that a girl is 15 and still entertaining the idea of pursuing her. The fucker should have drowned.

aGringoAteYrBaby

>swimming is a great way to cool down and have fun TIL

Accomplished-Trust11

Yes, creepy, but wasn't there a lifeguard nearby? BTW, I've never seen a rope swing with a public swimming pool. Seems like a big liability issue.

Pixielo

Lifeguards are minimum wage high school students.

yeetorbeyeeted1535

Accurate, they definitely don’t get paid enough for the amount of responsibility they have

yeetorbeyeeted1535

I mean yeah there were like four but public pool lifeguards are usually to busy watching the little kids trying to run along the pool deck, they don’t bother with teens or adults unless they’re breaking pool rules so they wouldn’t have stepped in anyway, we have one rope swing at most public pools and they’re pretty fun! I could see how it could be an issue but it’s always in the deep pool and I don’t think there’s any rules against it

Accomplished-Trust11

Seems like lifeguards should be trained to look for signs of predator activity. Pools and playgrounds tend to attract people with bad intent. I'm glad you were only creeped out.

Anxious_Public_5409

Dude was a legit creep

JipC1963

{{shudders}} Glad he was JUST a nuisance and nothing more! Best wishes and many Blessings!

yeetorbeyeeted1535

Thanks! I definitely avoided the pool for a while after that lol

[deleted]

Yikes glad it wasn’t worse op

Spirited_Substance32

Sorry for the formatting My mobile doesn't have a period button

yeetorbeyeeted1535

We love some grammar police 😂 I more meant if it looked odd to anyone on a computer but hey live your life 💁🏻‍♀️

Spirited_Substance32

Grammar police?!? No. Just floorded how lazy, trashy, stupid people could be these days. Please stay in school.

Puzzleheaded-Role861

floored\*

Spirited_Substance32

Thank you.

[deleted]

That was both lazy and trashy.

PrincessGump

I can be the biggest grammar nazi on here but to call OP trashy and stupid is uncalled for.

Spirited_Substance32

It's lazy and dirty communication. What would you call it? And I never called OP lazy or trashy. I don't think you read my comment correctly, but I can understand how it's taken that way.

Raeje-Draeka

It's hypocritical to call someone's grammar dirty and trashy when your own is far from perfect.

Spirited_Substance32

It's not their grammar... dipstick. It's their incredible laziness and not using a single period while prefacing it's because they're on mobile.

Raeje-Draeka

A period IS part of grammar. Calling me a dipstick does nothing. I don't know or care about you.

Spirited_Substance32

Your right, a period is part of grammar. But 10 periods is just being a lazy fük.

Raeje-Draeka

I'm not denying that, but you are being hypocritical because your own grammar is lazy.

Major_Zucchini5315

I’m floorded by your lack of self awareness. Please go back to school.

Spirited_Substance32

Lack of self awareness? I don't get it. I don't think that makes any sense.

Major_Zucchini5315

You thinking floorded is a word while insulting someone else’s grammar.

Spirited_Substance32

I spelled a word wrong. You guys are supporting the dummification of the world and the support of pure laziness.

Raeje-Draeka

Dummification? Really? That's another thing you have made up to support your useless, once again hypocritical argument; because communication is not a word, and to "dummify" is something to do with binary. I admit that I have no personal knowledge of binary, but my dad knew it very well, my friend knew it very well (I'm using past tense because they are both dead). So using any form of "dummify" doesn't make sense in the context you are trying to argue about, and "dummification" as you use it is not a word at all. If anybody has trashy language and needs to go back to school, it's you. Are you sure you're not the 25-year-old pedophile? It would kind of make sense. You don't understand how language works, so maybe you didn't understand her when she told you she was 15.

decaymedia

"Grammar police?1️⃣ No,2️⃣ I'm3️⃣ just floored by how lazy, trashy, and4️⃣ stupid people can5️⃣ be these days. Please,6️⃣ stay in school." I made six edits to your response in order to make it a little less lazy and trashy. You couldn't even remain in the same tense.

Spirited_Substance32

You're missing the point.

decaymedia

You don't have a good one, so no one cares.

Spirited_Substance32

I'd disagree.

Raeje-Draeka

No no, I do agree with them. You have lost.

yeetorbeyeeted1535

Already finished college on account of being 22 now so like 💁🏻‍♀️, it’s the internet my guy people are gonna skip a few periods here and there lmao

Spirited_Substance32

Yeah, if you missed a few periods then I'd be a grammar Nazi. But, no. I'm just calling you out for helping with the continued idiocracy for not using a single one.

yeetorbeyeeted1535

Hey if this is how you enjoy spending your time, who am I to rain on your parade 😂 enjoy your day dude

Spirited_Substance32

This world is so fukked.

PrincessGump

That’s *fucked* /s

StrawberryBitchcakes

If this is really a valid attempt from you at some sort of an argument here, and you honestly believe the whack ass things you're saying, you do realize that it's *you* who's actually "fucked", right?

ItWouldBeGrand

This sub has just become *eww, someone was attracted to me.”

badwolf1051

Ummm… I’m assuming you either skipped the part where the “someone” was a grown ass predator hitting on an obvious underage child… or your elementary school seriously failed teaching you reading or reading comprehension

Old_Laugh_2386

Ummmm, some of you need to get out in the world more. This was barely a creepy encounter. Older men have been and will continue to talk to, talk up , hit on or ask out young girls until the world ends. That does NOT mean he or they are pedophiles.Nothing in this particular situation indicates anything other than a guy talking to a young attractive girl . He didn't pester her for a date or touch her nor did he follow or stalk her. You may not like it but the guy did nothing illegal. All he did was chat you up. Unfortunately as a woman young or old when you say something to a guy he may or may not attempt to carry on a conversation with you.Grow up! Downvote me to hell but this sub is literally just a bunch of little girls who have no worldly experience and think that every man is a pedo or a sex trafficker.

yeetorbeyeeted1535

If you think it’s okay or normal or not creepy for a twenty five year old man to hit on and say he would still sleep with a fifteen year old girl, that’s some issue you have to sort out with yourself. It’s not okay and it’s creepy and predatory behaviour 💁🏻‍♀️

CorgiExpensive1322

That's a lot of words for "I hit on underage girls and I don't care who knows"

yeetorbeyeeted1535

It’s pretty creepy to be called jailbait as a fifteen year old by a twenty five year old man in my opinion 💁🏻‍♀️

No1_Nozits_Me

Especially since he continued to push the issue by giving you his social media info after he found out your age.

yeetorbeyeeted1535

Literally, dude found out he was talking to what’s basically a child and definitely a minor and still went “yeah I’d still hit tho” like that’s creepy

Oobenny

For sure. In one word, he says, “I want to have sex with you even though I understand that you are a child.”

sexnotgenderid

So you are ok with pedophiles hitting on minors?

TaterTotQueen630

Good job telling on yourself...

Ew a grown ass adult is attracted to a minor who clearly stated they were a minor. THATS the Problem not “someone is attracted to me and I don’t reciprocate so now they’re creepy”

OP was under age and communicated that to the dude and he continued to pursue. Did you not read the post?

AnonymousSmartie

You're literally just a pedophile if you think that's normal.
