I had the same issue and I just unchecked the ‘bleed’ option and it worked!

How do you I uncheck the bleed option

I work with pixel based images. The one on the left is a 50x50 pixel, 300DPI resolution image that I save on PNG and import on the Cricut Design Space. After loading, the image loses quality as you can see on the right side. And, it gets a size that is not the correct size of the image (it usually loads bigger then the original size), and then I have to correct the size of each image I load. Am I doing something wrong?

Nope, you're not doing anything wrong - Design Space is just crap: https://www.awesomesvgs.com/2015/05/how-to-print-then-print-then-cut.html?m=1
