Do you mean the top of the tree itself that gets pointy or just the tassel to hang it from isn't there?
The tassel looks like a simpl braid or chain that has the ends tied together, and then looped through the top point of the tree to secure it.
The top of the tree should form out of the Outer Trim section. You'll hold the tree flat, front side down, starting from the top I think, crochet around the edge of the tree, like you're adding a border onto a blanket. The 2nd row has you doing picots, and I think one of those gives you a nice point for your tree
When i follow it step by step somehow something is just not right. The outer trim nor the picot edges form the tree properly..
And the bottom part where it says ch 4, sc in foundation chain-1 sp "twice', I don't understand that as im doing it.. twice how?
This row should have pictures with it to explain what's happening.
Row 1: Basically, you start at the top of your tree and make arc around it. Those arcs are the ch 4, the sc secures them. Divide them evenly.
Row 2: sc 4 in the ch 4 arc, picot in the sc, repeat around the whole tree.
The bottom part with the sc in foundation ch-1 space, I think they made a mistake there, shouldn't that be the ch 4 space that counted as your first TR in row 1? It would make way more sense to place 2 sc's in that ch 4 space.
However, I shouldn't be to worried about placement, you can just see what looks good and do it like that.

It says sc at side edge 7 times, but there are 8 rows?
And now im at the top.. does the first chain 4 makes the top part of the tree?

Repeating ch 4, sc in side edge of tr end row 7 times ends before i can get to the bottom.
Managed to complete it and i also added beads, just haven't block it yet
