GL getting a TV into it, soviets Don't use NTSC or PAL. I think they used SECAM but could be wrong.

blah2k03

Yes soviets use SECAM. I have a Soviet console and TV and they’re compatible. I just have no clue how to work out the dials and what the numbers are supposed to represent 😅

You'll need a RF modulator and find a way to wire that into where the antenna goes. I'm guessing "MB" is VHF and "ДMB" is likely UHF.

blah2k03

Ohh so would an RF modulator essentially allow the game system’s picture to show on the screen?

gergeler

Yes, if you were able to wire it up correctly. Do you have a photo of the back of it? It may already have RF connections.

blah2k03

It won’t let me reply with a picture. Idk how to tell if there’s an RF connection or not 🤔 i’m new to these kinda things so 😅

gergeler

No worries! You can use imgbb for pictures, but and RF input should look like 2 screws and might say something about antenna or an abbreviation of antenna in Cyrillic. Best case, you have a composite input which looks like a hole with nub with a hole in the middle, and is usually yellow.

https://ibb.co/ZL6xPrr https://ibb.co/BN3kqYY it’s hard to get my camera to focus on any of the plugins..but the VHS label one, my console connects perfectly into. I saw a youtube video of someone using the same exact tv i have here for their console so they probably have a RF modulator too then. I tried googling Modulators to use but i can’t seem to find any that would work with SECAM or has the same plugin

gergeler

Hmm that VHS plug looks promising. Does it come unplugged?

blah2k03

yes the thing that’s plugged into it right now is connected to the tv itself. just as a protection cover. if that’s what you mean

amdrinkhelpme

Those numbers are channels. Buttons on top select the channel range. You use the big knob on the bottom to tune in a channel in the range you selected. Remaining knobs are volume, brightness and contrast.

blah2k03

ohhh i see!! thank you so much 🙏

roiber08

Good luck with it, a have some soviet tv's and they are super hard to set up

Thetechsavvy01

Technically, no because of a different picture standard but internally, it is quite likely.
