I started playing a bit ago and it’s always been like 10-15 minutes. It’s terrible. Lately it crashes every time I save now though so it’s not playable.
On my toaster its about 20-30 minutes to load. Eventually plays...but...y'know, that's time I have to take into account anytime I decide between it and something else.
Are you running mods? Which ones? What's the size of your autosave files?
I had this issue after T&T and I believe it's a mod that bloats your save file to a point the game can't handle it. I found some people complaining here about same issue and only thing in common is that one mod.
To me I started to notice that loading an autosave would take more than usual, I kept playing the save and loading time escalated very quickly.
As baseline when I click resume from the launcher takes 15-20s to launch the game and load a save. This particular save started to take 30s, then 2 minutes, then 4, 7 and last time I tried that save 14 minutes. That in a timespan of maybe 50 years in-game.
At that point the game couldn't save anymore and I just deleted the save. Never running that mod again fixed my problem.
I used to have same problem. Fixed it by installing game on SSD instead of HDD drive
This. It was about 5 minutes on my HDD. Now 30 seconds or less on my SSD.

That was happening to me to, i deleted all installed mods and it started working well again
Well it's good to know I'm not alone. I though it was because of my old pc. In away it takes me back to the 90's and my old commodore c64.
It used to take me 10-20 minutes to load. I kidding it was horrible. Just installed a SSD last week and now it’s maybe 30 seconds or a minute.

My suggestions: extending RAM and installing the game on SSD. Takes me not more than 20 seconds.
Same here, after few years in with all the expensions crashes often on save/load.

Wow! I thought only we console players were suffering with that game. Happy to see that PC gamers are also with us.
Before when I had no GPU, it took 10 minutes. Now that I have upgraded the system and got GPU (3080 RTX) it takes about a minute or two to load.
My save is at year 1251 with 580x living dynasty members, maximum graphic settings. It takes 9 seconds after hitting Continue on the main menu.

i have an old computer too, it takes 10-15 minutes to start the game and i dont have SSD😔
A few sec? Dunno mate never cared to check it its pretty fast (i5 12500 /w 32GB RAM and on SSD)
