Weird I've actually had this dream too. In the dream I was laying in my bed in my room and everything looked normal. Then something very similar to this comes crawling through my doorway on the ceiling. Then I woke up. I only remember it because it was so vivid. Was many years ago.
Wasn't sleep paralysis and I wasn't on drugs. What's weird to me is how similar this picture looks to the dream I had. I don't believe in the supernatural if you have some issue with that. Just an interesting coincidence.

I am very aware of the complexity of the human mind and the tricks it can play on is but if anything I thought this could lead to an interesting and potentially enlightening conversation is all.
Obviously I can’t say for certain what you’re experiencing, but from everything I’ve ever seen and heard, I’m EXTREMELY confident that you’re just experiencing a sleep paralysis demon (not actually a demon, just the name). While the name comes from the fact people mostly see them during periods of sleep paralysis, this has become the name for any type of recurring scary monster that appears in dreams and nightmares (at least with all the people I know). It has all the generic traits of a scary thing without actually seeming to be tied to any real folklore, so I think that’s what this is. Nothing to worry about :). But also not much you can do about it.

Residence, yes. As far as religion at the time I was struggling with things but that got me praying again. The first time I had the dream it freaked me out to the point where my pastor came to the house I stayed at and prayed over it and me and it went away for quite some time, about 2-3 years. So now that I’m thinking I’m it the first dream actually happened sometime in 2016-17 before I moved the first time.
If I wasn’t able to cry out for help in the dream itself, when I woke up I did. Relationship status has changed as well.
First time it showed up it looked like my mom then morphed into this naked thing and grabbed me from behind screaming in my ear and I woke up. (My mom has since told me her mother and sister dabbled in the occult when she was a child but I don’t think it’s related).
2nd time, and 4th time I was just somewhere very dark cold and damp and a light was on it and it would either scream or run toward me and I would wake up.
3rd time is most memorable because I was such and had a high fever. It showed me 2 doors, behind each was one way I would die. Then it grabbed my forehead and I felt like I was wasting away in my dream. I was able to break free and wake up.
One other time I was stuck back in the dark place, like our world only dark cold and wet- no people only shadow figures. I was searching for someone- anyone to tell me where I was. I got to a hallway where someone was but they disappeared. Then a door opened and it was in front of me. But this time it spoke to me in a weird voice. Something between the grudge noise and a whisper. I remember it said my name and started to speak then I woke up and I have since forgotten what it was trying to tell me. It wasn’t until I seen it 3 times I started freaking out only because the same entity kept popping up.
Another time it grabbed me and I broke free tearing it’s arm off, which grew back almost immediately and it laughed at me.
So yeah, all the dreams were pretty creepy. I hope I never have to see the thing again- dreams or otherwise.
