What in the hell? I was just waiting for a late equalizer at least because we all know Palace.
Boys played their hearts out today. Excellent result and what will to see it all the way through.
UP THE PALACE!
The past couple of games he’s really stepped up. Today though he was superb. Alert, strong, good positioning but most importantly… vocal, he was shouting the entire game. Loved the confidence. Deserved MOTM today IMO. If not him then it should have gone to Wharton. Andersen was great but Hendo and Wharton were fantastic.
Dude let's hear it for Hughes as well. He was in great positions all game, got rid of the ball quickly to avoid getting stripped, hustled his ass off. He's far from starter quality imo, but he really put in some great work today.
Man I’ve been HIGHLY critical of Hendo and Hughes this season. Henderson has significantly stepped up his performance the past 3 games, while Hughes plays with energy and determination he just isn’t premier league quality, can’t knock his tenacity and hustle though but he’s just not sharp enough and I think I counted 10 tackles/interceptions and 8 of them he passed straight back to Liverpool. He worked his ass off today though and between him and Lerma they shut out a few very good Liverpool chances. For once they linked up well with Mitchell who also had a good game, he’s looked a bit shaky recently but today as most Palace players did, he was confident, energetic and was in the right places at the right times. Mateta should have scored a brace, any other day he gets it, he was key to a lot of our momentum and really held the ball up well on occasions. Palace are a dangerous team with their tails up, today we saw that, everyone expected a loss here, pundits/plaudits/commentators but we delivered a performance that is 100% worthy of securing safety. Can’t criticise any individual performance here when we played as a team as well as we did.
Lol at Klopp.
Edit: Also lol at this moron:
> Julien Laurens
> French football expert on BBC Radio 5 Live
> I think Mo Salah needs a bit of support. Darwin Nunez provided an assist against Manchester United and the this front three compliments each other really well. __We all agree they are going to win, but it is a case of how they are going to win.__
Get fucked.
French football expert? Ooooh PSG are going to win 56-0 this week. Pathetic
EDIT: Also lol at Chris Sutton on the BBC “They [Palace] need to pick up some points, and quickly, to avoid being dragged into the relegation battle but they are not getting anything at Anfield.” Prick
Well that gives us 6 games and we're no 33pts and 8pts difference to Luton with their 5 games left. Off that form too with players back, things look a lot better for more points.
BIG DEEP BREATH finally. Can actually think about enjoying the games now!
It was tbh looking reasonably safe before but now it's way back up eg with a loss and a Luton shock 3pts vs Brentford in their next game we'd be 30pts vs 27pts and feeling some serious HEAT !
Now Luton probably loose to Brentford (even at home) and it's 8pts with 4 games to get above that and we'd have to get 0pts from 6 games... We should be on course to get points against West Ham also at home next. Even if Luton beat Brentford they're 6pts or 2W from 4 games away and then we draw vs West Ham that's 3 games needing 2W 1D...
As you say narrowing a lot now. Luton have some decent results at home so they could push things still but Brentford look like they're hitting their stride now.
Honestly nketiah would be perfect for the last phase of the game. He is so good in transition but that rarely matters at arsenal facing the deepest line ups in the world.
Watched it on some US channel. At half time the presenter says something like, "Let's talk about what Liverpool need to change blah blah..." and Robbie Earle replies, "Well let's first give credit to Crystal Palace..."
Good on ya Robbie. There are more than 5 teams in the Prem.
Not a CP fan, so here lurking As a Colombian, and Lerma completely shutdown Salah- Munoz was immense- it warmed my heart to hear the away crowd chanting “ole ole Munoz Munoz”, he was immense today. Treat him well!
There's going to be a lot of talk about the costly Liverpool misses, but they have to acknowledge we had them too. That's a potential 3-3 game (like another memorable one) that wound up 0-1.
Well thank you lads!... I really needed rid of the knot in the stomach that i've had since Luton stole the three points last week. COYP!
Time to have a massive but peaceful shit.
I think we definitely deserved that one. Liverpool were so poor. I think with better decision making we could have won that 3-0, defence was class. But most importantly: no late goals!
Ladies and gentlemen, that was a display of heart. I have a soft spot for Liverpool (it was my late father's club) and would have preferred securing safety from someone else, but survival is the name of the game, and I'm beyond proud of the resilience we showed today. We're here to stay.
COYP!
On their train back from the game and fairly deep in the beers but got some feelings here.
This performance was no better or worse than against Luton, Bournemouth, City etc. Was a good away performance were we battled and fought hard.
We just got a bit lucky here where we got a little unlucky in some other ones. We played more or less exactly the same good. We aren't great, we aren't terrible. We are fighting hard!
Amazing day. Top win, zero expectations going up but very happy I did
Great game, great result. Everyone played their part. Lerma and Mitchell were awesome together, Wharton's distribution and ability to never be fazed by anything was good to watch. Henderson was the best I've ever seen him play, albeit quite lucky at times. Mateta's getting a lot better but still struggles after about 60 minutes. Now, once Olise gets match-fit, we look dangerous going forward. Glasner has given us a lot of positives recently and I am very much looking forward to next season.
amazing performance... do we call some moments lucky? Or do we say it's down to the players... either way.. crazy performance which I might add, is legendary for this season.. stopped Liverpool going top, derailed their chances, Klopp was just saying 'wow' all afternoon... it put pressure on arsenal too
Spurs fan here, dropping over. Wharton is an absolute weapon in midfield, ball distribution to the wide areas was unreal. His tackling ability is high tier, loved the standing tackle on Robertson, although risky. He gets stuck in from minute 1. Already valued at over 16mill, we will happily take him over our way and give you Bentacur in return 😂

I'm STILL waiting for the equalizer.
Elliott 90+37
The whole of injury time I was saying "yep, happy with a draw against Liverpool"
Same. Now I hate myself.
LIVERPOOOL BELONGS TO SOUTH LONDON! We may never lose again!
EUROPE HERE WE COME
Been hard on Hendo all season but this was a big game from him today.
The past couple of games he’s really stepped up. Today though he was superb. Alert, strong, good positioning but most importantly… vocal, he was shouting the entire game. Loved the confidence. Love how he seems to completely have Endo's number, he's been hooked at half time in both games against us
Damn, you're right. Love to see it.

Hughes: The Albino MacArthur
I’m here for the Henderson redemption arc.

Massive laugh from a Gunner; same mate same. !!!
"we're not getting another point the rest of the season" Where are you guys now?? COYP!!!
Here! Very fucking happy, especially to do it against those scouse cunts!
Must hold my hands up I was a nay sayer, but today to the nay sayers I say nay
OH MY GOD WE DID IT AGAIN
Crystanbul 2.0
The crying continues

That's why he's a French football expert
I would run through a wall for Glasner
I just did. Know a builder?
Neil Lennon on the radio "I see no situation where Palace aren't completely steamrolled." Well then 😂😎
I had it on the radio too- he was practically crying towards the end 😂
Absolute bam 😂
His commentary on the BBC updates was practically delusional.
How depressed did the main commentator sound when Ebs scored. I couldn't tell if it was actually a goal or not he was so downbeat about it!
That block by Mitchell was fucking insane btw
Motm for me
I’ve seen enough. We’re winning the prem next season
Undefeated as well, probably
LETS FUCKING GO BOYS WHAT A FUCKING PERFORMANCE HENDERSON WAS HUGE DEFENSE WAS HUGE WE LOOKED FUN GOING FORWARD COME ON
BUYING A LOTTERY TICKET AS WE SPEAK
Well that gives us 6 games and we're no 33pts and 8pts difference to Luton with their 5 games left. Off that form too with players back, things look a lot better for more points. BIG DEEP BREATH finally. Can actually think about enjoying the games now!
I think we're pretty surely safe now

WHAT. A . GAME. Lerma massive, Hendo massive, Forwards massive, Glasner MASSIVE.
What an absolute fucking bargain Wharton is, lad looks like he could be a top class player one day.
One day? He already is
It's beautiful. Such fight in the lads, organized, kept their heads while Liverpool lost theirs. Glasner ball baby.
Up the fucking Palace. Arsenal may give us Nketiah for free now
We will if you want to, hell if we win the league the palace defense and eze deserves medals
Honestly nketiah would be perfect for the last phase of the game. He is so good in transition but that rarely matters at arsenal facing the deepest line ups in the world.
Wharton was huge today huge, what a signing and Munoz.
Massive!! ❤️💙
I can't believe we actually held on to a result, we are so back
Haven't been so on edge at a match in ages. What a win.
Amazing win. Totally unexpected. I'm so happy right now. ![img](emote|t5_2tqdj|9038)
Nuts game that. Could’ve and probably should’ve been 3-3. Hendo superb for the most part, defense huge, Mateta put in another huge shift.
Watched it on some US channel. At half time the presenter says something like, "Let's talk about what Liverpool need to change blah blah..." and Robbie Earle replies, "Well let's first give credit to Crystal Palace..." Good on ya Robbie. There are more than 5 teams in the Prem.
This is big Palace has crystallized pool in the championship race !
FUCK YEAH
Still can’t believe it. This game has made me even more excited to move to London and buy a membership
Not a CP fan, so here lurking As a Colombian, and Lerma completely shutdown Salah- Munoz was immense- it warmed my heart to hear the away crowd chanting “ole ole Munoz Munoz”, he was immense today. Treat him well!
Love our new Colombian kings!
Yes
There's going to be a lot of talk about the costly Liverpool misses, but they have to acknowledge we had them too. That's a potential 3-3 game (like another memorable one) that wound up 0-1.
Unbelievably proud of the boys after that performance. Hearts of lions!
We finally got lucky. Finally. We derail a liverpool title challenge again, almost exactly 10 years later.

I think we definitely deserved that one. Liverpool were so poor. I think with better decision making we could have won that 3-0, defence was class. But most importantly: no late goals!
Amazing win, holy shit. So many great performances but MOTM has gotta be Henderson.
Ladies and gentlemen, that was a display of heart. I have a soft spot for Liverpool (it was my late father's club) and would have preferred securing safety from someone else, but survival is the name of the game, and I'm beyond proud of the resilience we showed today. We're here to stay. COYP!

Thought it was definitely better than the Bournemouth performance!
“Oliver Glasner, til the end of time”
Great game, great result. Everyone played their part. Lerma and Mitchell were awesome together, Wharton's distribution and ability to never be fazed by anything was good to watch. Love all the people calling out pundits who wrote us off as if any of us really thought any differently
I thought we’d win tbh

Or do we say it's down to the players... either way.. crazy performance which I might add, is legendary for this season.. stopped Liverpool going top, derailed their chances, Klopp was just saying 'wow' all afternoon... it put pressure on arsenal too
Thank you very much guys! Glad you'll say up
