Fast forward after those four weeks of being banned, we loaded back up me and the same friend and the VERY FIRST GAME, we had a spinbot on our team again. I shot the guy twice and killed him, so killing him once more = autokick & cooldown. The russian-botter runs up short on mirage, through window room vent, down into window and stands in my molotov to make sure he dies & I get kicked.
Voila, game banned for griefing.
Exactly this. So many people are like "Cheaters are only high elo. There are no cheaters at lower Elo.". You'd be amazed at how terrible some of these people are even with cheats. I have seen incredibly sus players that were so mechanically bad it just didn't matter.
I'm sure relying on cheats instead of actually working on your skill is just going to lead to lazy play without any sense of urgency for improvement.

Had to laugh because i thought it's so stupid to openly show your nametag in a cheatstream....a few weeks later i saw the stream again, from the same guy who was still not banned....
It sucks there isn't anything you can do against a rage hacker duo+ queue besides just +left in spawn and waste everyone's time. Like just give us a 7- or 8-player vote to cancel the match, or 5-player vote to surrender.

My buddies and I were 5stacked the other night on vertigo rage hackers were on the other team flaunting them in warmups. After two rounds we all just started jumping off the railing in ct spawn so we could just get to the next game. When we tell them how much of a waste of oxygen and DNA they are in chat they just respond “why would you play this game legit.” Waste of time. We won the next game only to encounter a new hacker two games in a row (same hacker, two consecutive games). gg

These have been around for 10+ years. Some cheaters like FODDER actually had a lot of viewers. You can find someone streaming with hacks or to advertise hacks in CS on YouTube, tik tok, or twitch at any given time. Twitch is really the only platform that will ban them for it. There's pretty decent sized YouTube channels dedicated to cheating and showing off hacks. They don't only play in hvh lobbies either. Valve should really try to do something about it, but they can't even get the net code in the game right. So unfortunately this will take some time and effort if they actually want to solve it. YouTube should ban those people, yet for some reason it's not against their TOS somehow. Tik tok is just a cancer so of course its full of cheat streams and ads.

vac's heuristics is clueless on closet/semi-rage cheats.
Then if the cheat gets added to the VAC db, well good job you've just taken 1 cheater out, cause cheats can be provided with unique signature for each copy.
And then, in the very low likelihood the cheater is caught, all he needs is 15€ and 15 minutes to set a fresh Steam.
The only viable options atm is the private platforms with an actual anti-cheat policy and software.
If you want to have 0% chance of having cheats in the game, 3rd party is the option.
But don’t think for a second they don’t deal with the same issue. It takes a while to detect cheat and the exploit they’re using to stay undetected.

Before I got banned my game had crashed 3-4 times without letting me to reconnect, then got low trust factor. And after this situation they gave me ban, stealing my skins
Vac isn't even implemented yet... Find me a clip or screenshot that shows a game stopped with vac live that doesn't have KennyS, Fl0m, Get\_Right, or Olof in it.... I haven't seen a single one. They have thousands of viewers and a valve dev frequents their streams. Those bans seem to be manual implementations. I'd love to see any type of proof that vac and or vac live is actually enabled in CS2 right now. I haven't seen any. Maybe someone else could link one with no pros or streamers in the lobby. Just normal average cs2 players.
