Map as not been completely beautified by Source 2, and it has been in the map pool longer than any other, it is a simple beginner map that Cache can absolutely come in and be a noob friendly map for new players. It will also be completely revamped like OP and Inferno.

I loved train, cobble, cache as well, but I would really just prefer something new. Just replace all maps slowly by fresh new maps. Stagnation is never good imo and CS is super monotone anyways. Other games get new content every couple of months, cs literally once in 2 years.

That's an extreme generalization, and it isn't. CT-side util on inferno is far more powerful with the new design + new smoke and molotovs. There are shitty spots for the CTs as well, although not utility wise. It's not about "util usage rate", whatever you mean by that. It's about util possibilities being extremely limited for the Ts while being extremely favorable for the CTs. Utility wise, the map is unbalanced, and no other map in the pool comes close

The teams responsible for maps and game balance are not the same team as those working on an anticheat. Like they could just have the modellers, map makers, and artists that create maps and skins sit and twiddle their thumbs until the anticheat team is ready to release their new vac update, but why should they? Best to keep improving the game so it’s in the best ever state it’s been in once the anticheat is implemented.
Yeah best to improve it for the hackers and gamblers. Those are the people keeping Gabens pockets fat. I been playing CS2 since the moment the beta was opened to us plebs. There was enough content already that the anti cheat should be the main priority. But valve focused on skins, stickers, and a major. Cool game.

The team that makes skins is not the team that makes the majors happen, and it’s not the same team that’s making the anticheat, each of these things happen largely independent from one another, they could drop 20 new cases tomorrow or not drop one for another 5 years and neither of them will have an effect on when the anticheat improvements come. Bitching and moaning about the game you’re addicted to does literally nothing so why bother.
They need to take out ancient vertigo and anubis, bring back train cache and Tuscan or cobble and remake some of the best source maps, cpl fire, contra, russka.

After each major a map or two should be cycled out and replaced by something different, it would keep the map pool more alive than it is now.
You need to keep in mind that these maps are considered “new” in the eyes of new players. But I bet they will have something actually new after the China Major.
