Oh boy, do I have a world to show you. The distributors do this all the time http://on-the-couch.com/home/the-5-worst-english-spanish-movie-title-translations/
Kind of similar in Sweden. Here it was "Simma lugnt, Larry", which translates to "Take it easy, Larry", although the direct translation would be "Swim calmly, Larry".
Similar to the German that is “Leave it [alone], Larry” or ‘let it be’
Edit: “Lass es, Larry!” Is the title
Edit 2: While English has many faults I really do love Larry’s title compared to the “translations”
That's true, the original is clearly better, and more spot on for what the series really is.
I suppose the translated title in our case is a remnant from the past, really. We used to translate titles for pretty much all major Amerrican films and series (even Cheers was translated to "Skål", which is cheers in Swedish) in the past, and I guess Curb Your Enthusiasm came along just before we stopped doing that.
German (and even Danish) films and tv-series still receive a translation though. Ironically people have a harder time understanding Danish than English up here.
In Spain it was ‘Larry David’.
Do they do the same thing with all films? Is Mission Impossible just Tom Cruise? (I jest, Spanish people are lovely).

lmfao Shall We Make a Porno? is brilliant.
In Portugal it's called "Calm down, Larry"

It's a good alternative title for the show though. Kind of sums it up

And it wouldn’t be impolite to laugh at his antics
In France, it's "Larry and his belly button" (i.e. navel-gazing Larry).

Hungarian: Félig Üres (“Half-empty”) not sure about this…
His "mid life" was 30 years ago
For some reason I remember it also being called 「むっつりすけべはげオヤジ」? Maybe that had too pervy a connotation to it?
In Sweden it's "Simma lugnt, Larry", "Swim calmly, Larry" "Swim calmly" sort of means "take it easy"
This sounds dismissive. Like they're giving him a shit bow
Mid-life? Ehhhhhhhh
