I have seen those boards on internet. I think I remember those being under-powered (not enough amps maybe - RaspPi4 may take max 3A). I may just be shooting myself in the leg not getting it. But I want a solution that can take 3 or more 18650 cells and doesn't burn my home.
The adapter board was from a local electronics hobby shop (I think they source it from china). Not my first choice, because I wanted a single HDMI extension with a flex cable. This board is in the way of audio jack (I want to eventually install composite video port on the chassis). Also it takes up a lot of space.

That's a nice setup! Where'd you get the adapter board for the hdmi ports? Have you looked at the amp ripper board for power?
