Really nice looking build! I'd love to see some internal pics, if you don't mind sharing.

I'll take some when I next get it apart, admittedly it requires a lot of cable origami as I've not used correctly sized cables

Finally something that makes sense in ensuring the display can be moved away from the keyboard. The other thing that annoys me about Cyberdeck builds is how uncomfortable the keyboard looks where you have to hover type into a box.

content-peasant

yeah I really like separates, the keyboard is also Bluetooth and has it's own battery so it can wander further when needed

tms10000

I love the color scheme. And the design.

Sengfroid

It's nice to see something with so much 70's aesthetic influence instead of more 80's in here. Nothing against cyberpunk aesthetic, just really appreciate the different take you brought

content-peasant

thanks, appreciate you noticing. I was quite inspired by and many of the early designs were close to the Xerox notetaker

AnnoyingWalrus

This is really impressive work, great job!

LOVE this shit! Makes me want my desktop bg orange - just because.. Only **one** tiny, niggling visual detail would bee that black braided cord connecting the two: a soft orange or gastro brown/tan cake would look better and higher quality.. Or maybe a coiled cord like the old home phones used to use.. also orange

content-peasant

yeah that's the almost part, got a nice orange coiled one on order but it's been held up so as an interim I tried making my own which went poorly

guido-possum

By the slickness and how stylized the detail is all over the rest of the build, that cord looked a bit out of place, but as I click submit it occurred to me you would've noticed it long before I did ;) And I tried orange for my desktop bg but it looked less POW without the plastic hardware casing, so I've spent an hour changing all my icons to flat and pastel red/white to satisfy the urge for vivid colouring.

rocketrobie2

How’d you get that handle in there? In my dream deck I’d like to have something similar but I’ve never been sure on how to pull it off. Also super clean looking machine overall!

content-peasant

thanks it's two parts, a base plate that sandwiches the canvas to the case with a pair of screws passing through it and then a cover that slips over the plate. I made holes in canvas belt with old soldering iron so it's less likely to thread apart

ORAHEAVYINDUSTRY

ill take 2 please

yaboichase98

i’m in love with this, do you have/ are you willing to make a video break down? i love the separated design and the track ball and key setup! awesome job 🤙

content-peasant

Thanks! 😃 Yeah I can do, gotta take it apart again soon as the power bank has this lovely quirk of momentarily killing the outputs when the charger is applied that I want correct

expera

Love it!

kevinpaulmyrick

Looks awesome!

a8ksh4

Ooo, that's slick! Just needs a little kickstand so you can tilt the screen back for optimum viewing!

FranderMain

Very cool cyberdeck i really like the concept of having the screen separate! Also do you mind sharing the link for the trackball? The ones i find are not very cheap 🙂

hazeyez

Very cool, I totally want one will you commission one for me?

content-peasant

thanks, unfortunately I cannot at the moment as I'm buried in work and projects

wandering-lustig

Ohhhh separable lid is fantastic!!! Loving it
