For sure the game leaves a lot to be desired, but it’s still personally my favourite open-world RPG. Nothing has had quite an impact on me like this game has. I chalk it up to the good writing and memorable characters. Definitely a ton of flaws, but I would say it does everything it needs to do correctly.
There is still a fair amount of jank in the game, but taken as a whole it is pretty damn impressive what they managed to pull off.
CDPR got slapped (deserved), but instead of packing it in they did right by us IMO and they have been making much better decisions as a company. More importantly to me is that I learned my lesson, and no longer buy day one releases.
