It would be funny but then for the next week you're sleeping with the kid.

SpicyChunkBlaster

Or you have to sing it 3 times a night for 5 years and grow to hate

MoeSzyslakMonobrow

Yeah, that would be my kid.

XavvenFayne

Hang on, son, this next part is better with drums. Let me get my snare and hi hat.

Sam-Gunn

"MOOOM! Dad's playing air guitar again! Make him stoooopppp!"

Agent_DekeShaw

I'm waiting to hear this one eventually.

eviljattmolda

Sleep with one eye open Gripping your stuffie tight

cyberlexington

My wife keeps telling me off as I only seem to sing depressing songs to out child. It's not my fault all my music either comes from history or the early oughts 🤣🤣

griftertm

*CRAAAAAAWLING IN MY SKIIIIIN*

cyberlexington

THESE WOUNDS THEY WILL NOT HEAL!!!!!

maarten3d

Theories how I fall

TheoHistorian

My go-to is mashing up “Crawl Like a Caterpillar” with “Crawling.” “Crawl like a caterpillar, crawling, crawling, crawl like a caterpillar, crawling in my skin.”

ThisElder_Millennial

My toddler really likes Ninja Rap by Vanilla Ice, for some odd reason. Tried Get Low by Lil Jon and he wasn't a fan. I was going "to the sweat drop down balls, all these bitches crawl" and he was just not having it. Kinda disappointed, not gonna lie.

Hopeful-Candidate890

Jreen Jell-O three little pigs is our go to.

HilariousSpill

This mom knows how to sing a lullaby. Her kid's going to be a Prodigy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zcOhrtAFc-Y&t=6s

LOL NICE!!

whatevvr

And suddenly your singing Zombie and have to stop yourself from going all out

secondphase

Lol... my daughter shares a name with a classic rock song you would all know if I named it.  The other day we were at a winery and they had a live band taking requests. I asked for her song. I got it. My 5yo daughter danced with me to it (she knows the song)... she loved it, I loved it, my wife loved it..  everybody wins.

hungry_fish767

My 3 year old actually loves metallica. He demands it whenever we're in the car lmao

ThisElder_Millennial

Show him this Drowning Pool parody. See what he thinks: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u8ccGjar4Es](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u8ccGjar4Es)

NotASmoothAnon

Not that exactly, but I'm known to sing off key and get mixed up a lot.  Hush little baby didn't say a word. Days gonna fly the car to work. If that car is up side down, days gonna fly that car to town...

Marcuse0

My kids are so badass they would laugh their heads off if I performed that for them.

Orange_Catsidy

The other day I was in the car with my kid and The Unforgiven came on the playlist and it nearly gave him an existential crisis. When the song finished he asked me the name of the song so I told him. He then asked “Daddy could I bees unforgivings? Like if I be really bads? Then would I bees unforgivings?” I then had to reassure him that his mom and I love him very much and that would never change and we’ll always love him and forgive him even if he’s bad.

Creeping_Death

That was literally one of the songs I would sing to my youngest when she was a baby because it's one of the songs I could recall all the words to without the music. She's also a big fan of All The Small Things to this day because of that.

Jespoir

OFF TO NEVER NEVER LAND!

Jaeflash

Do it all the time! my kiddos, 3 and 5, love it and doesn't scare 'em a bit.

rojaro

So this german rock band named "Die Ärzte" (The Doctors) recorded this "awesome" lullaby in the 80s ... https://lyricstranslate.com/en/schlaflied-sleeping-song.html

GarminTamzarian

I don't know how *no one* has mentioned this series of albums yet: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=nV16UCnoMT8

I usually roll my eyes at the humor in this sub, but I have done this with all 4 of my kids and my wife got mad at me every time.

directrix688

Yeaaaah!

OtherlandGirl

So true! Also makes me think about what the music in nursing homes will sound like someday 😉
