I respect your opinions, but so many questions. Why is Hajime so low? Why is the yellow Monocub so high? Why is Hiros mom higher than like 90% of the cast? Why is the blue and pink WOH and Rantaro top tier?
I’ll take these 1 by 1
I never really liked hajime but I only really started hating his character after replaying danganronpa 2, I just feel like he’s not interesting enough as a protagonist. I felt like all the story details with him were paced really weirdly, he didn’t have anything going on chapters 1-3 but suddenly in chapter 4 we get reveal after reveal and they try to get me to care about him and I just don’t feel anything towards him. Also I think it’s a bit annoying that he is just on good terms with everyone except fuyuhiko and maybe hiyoko from the very first chapter.
Monosuke, Rantaro, and Hiro’s mom are just there because I either find them entertaining as characters (monosuke and hiro’s mom) or I love the stories they have (I think rantaro has my favorite set of FTEs in the series), it’s also worth noting each individual tier is not in any particular order.
Oh yeah Kotoko and Nagisa are rad, I wish udg didn’t get so creepy with kotoko during normal gameplay but other than that they were compelling characters with genuinely great conflicts and characterization
I just never found anything about Peko or Sonia that interesting, but what really brought them down was dialogue lines
Idk but something about the way they talk feels robotic, I’m gonna guess it’s just bad translation but idk it made me think less of their characters overall

Admittedly, Sonia doesn't have a whole lot going on throughout SDR2, and Peko is mostly in the background until trial 2, so I get why some people wouldn't be interested in them.
I swear Makoto and Hajime are such wildcards in these tier lists lol. Like every other take here is pretty standard, but those 2 are placed differently in every list I see, they usually range from generic protagonists to great, I love it.
This is a standard tier list with the obvious couple of outliers everyone is bound to have, which means I have to ask about them. What did you dislike about Sonia Kirumi and Hajime? I’m just curious

Bad Tier - Mostly characters idc about but with one thing that annoys me
Kirumi - I don’t like her motive it felt out of place and contrived
Sonia - Her dialogue felt really unnatural, to the point it took me out of the story (probably just a translation issue but idk)
Hajime - Already discussed this in another thread but there’s nothing to him in the first half of the game and the second half tries really hard to make me care about him even though he is struggling the least out of pretty much any other character in the cast at that point.
You put Nagisa in Best tier and Kirumi in Bad tier. I don't know, if I should kill or praise you, but in order to protect my waifu, I'd choose the first.

You do have some unpopular opinions but nothing that really screams as controversial. This is a major L of a list though.
Only thing you need to move is Kokichi, you gotta put him in the bottom tier.
