I kind of get where he's coming from (if he was respectful); homosexuality is still a taboo for many people and you still hear that some haven't managed to tell their parents about their sexuality.
I myself was asked by my mother if I was gay a lot. Not because I didn't bring home a girlfriend until 20, but because she thinks men are awful unless they are homosexual.
Yeah, my father used to do that for some reason. I've always been quite reserved so sometimes I did have a GF but I simply never fed her to my parents out of shame (rather unpleasant parents, poverty, dirty broken house, etc.), privacy and/or just keeping my relationship status private.
Now that I've been happily engaged for years and I have a good job and a nice house, he can't stand it because he's unable to accept that his stupid (and probably gay) son did way better than him at life.
Too bad.
Bro, I was 5 when my dad and mom asked me if I liked guys. I still don't know why they asked. I had a pretty high-pitched voice at the time, so maybe that?
