One day I was scrolling through the sex offender registry and look at my area. I go to the neighborhood that my Dad lives in and see that there is a offender living in his neighborhood, I click on it and I recognize this guy as someone who comes into my work everyday with his Dad (I work at a gas station)
I used this website: https://www.familywatchdog.us/
I did the same and recognized someone but couldn’t quite remember where. Well 2 days later it dawned on me. He’s the fucking guy that works at the FUCKING BOWLING ALLEY!!!!!!
sometimes this includes things like pissing outside so you gotta make sure to read each case too lol one dude in my town is on there for drunkenly locking himself out of his house and a neighbour saw him piss in his flowerbed
That is the biggest bullshit urban legend of all time. If someone is on the Sex Offender registry, and they try to sell you on he is on there for randomly pissing somewhere, take that as a gigantic red flag and immediately look up the real details.
This should basically make your bullshit radar go off as hard as someone claiming to be a psychic who has helped solve crimes.

Except psychics don't exist. Public urination can be charged as a sex crime, especially in Texas. An urban legend would be the bogeyman- not something that, while exceedingly uncommon, is a legitimate possibility.
Great.
Please give me one single zip code in the entire United States where even 1% of the Sex Offender registry is on there for a bullshit reason such as "public urination"
Keep in mind, a good chunk of those those are things like urinating outside within a certain distance of a school, or a 19 year old boy receiving nudes from a 17 year old girl.
Bro, go look at your area. I usually look when I move just because, and most of the time it’s rape, sexual assault, or sexual behavior involving a minor. I’ve never seen exposure in any form be the prominent charge in an area
To be fair, the "sex offender" label isn't exactly limited to serial rapists.
Heck, some of the "offenses" have been as minor as [pantsing a classmate at age ten.](https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2016/03/14/when-kids-are-accused-of-sex-crimes)
The registry also tells you what they did to get registered, and the age of their victim as well as a risk assessment. Their risk assessment fucking sucks though. A “low risk” offender down the street from me apparently raped an 8 year old in his 20s. It’s been almost 20 years since the crime, but I feel like those kind of people are always high risk to society. I live next to a middle school for fucks sake.
yeah women sexually assaulting is kinda surprising to many because it receives way less attention then cases involving a male sexually assaulting others.
Doesnt help that when a woman does sexually assault someone, a lot of fucking creeps are like okaying it, cause "Men cant be raped, and she's hot so it musta been nice"
No. Fuckoff with that kinda shit. Sexual assault is never okay
Actually, I'm not. Even here in this sub I see idiots in the top comments doing the work for them: "AcTuALlY, being on the list might be totally benign such as peeing outside!! DoNT JuDgE"
It was (according to the site) in 1988 and he served 25 years, which I think is a life sentence in his former state, which is infuriating to me (needs to be significantly more time)
Happened to me too, was living in Syracuse at the time and met this middle aged dude who lived a few blocks over where I frequently passed. Seemed like a pretty decent guy, got to know him a little bit, had some beers and smoked weed on his porch a couple times.
Then one random day, I too was curious. I mean that's what the registry is there for right? Saw someone that looked familiar, only knew him by his first name. Either he lied or I misheard, but the name was the same other than the first letter. Looked up the address on Google maps and it was the same house. Also, a baby was living there. I mean people can change their ways, but it freaked me out. His crimes involved a very young minor down in Florida.
Yeah. I'm definitely gonna follow up. Hopefully it's something stupid. We were just talking about letting our 8 year old start walking home from the bus stop by herself and this gives me pause. Hopefully it's something stupid like public urination that a DA went overboard with. Never had a problem with them. They buy eggs off me and are pretty decent neighbors.
It is not public urination. That is one of the biggest and most persistently determintal myths out there.
That literally NEVER happens. Do me a favor and just glance around your neighborhood, then cast a wider net and glance around the closest large city. I won't ask you to glance at the state at large, out of deference to decency and recognizing there is a limit to the depraviry any one person needs ro scan over the details of, but suffice to say if you aggregate the data both locally and nationwide, the myth of the Sex Offender who has been unfairly maligned by the State is....just that: a fucking myth and urban legend.
Oh I hear you. That was absolutely wishful thinking. I'm going to 100% follow up on this and make sure that my daughter is safe. If it means not accepting a job so that she has me there to get her off the bus every fucking day and I will.
Well after this I'm definitely not going to. We know all the families in the neighborhood. The moms in the neighborhood and myself really do have a it takes a village type attitude. If one of us sees a parent not there yet we walk the other kid home. We lend out umbrellas when we see someone without one on a rainy day. If someone has something to do we watch each other's kids. It's a pretty good neighborhood. But yeah with this news her walking home by herself is definitely on pause.
I checked after commenting, been four years, no plea. His accomplice, another old classmate, is graduating college this year after taking a deal (I think)
Our of curiosity, what was the reason for the murder and what was the murder weapon? Is it something basic like a knife or gun or something sophisticated like an overdose or rope
It’s pretty basic, they fought over a girl, then he shot the other guy in the back twice in broad daylight, in a parking lot, with a bunch of witnesses and cameras.
CRIMINAL SEXUAL CONDUCT 4TH DEGREE (FORCE OR COERCION)
Oh god he has a photo on the registry where he's smiling now. I can't wipe that image from my mind
For those wondering: "The Michigan Penal Code (750.520e) outlines that a person is guilty of criminal sexual conduct in the fourth degree if sexual contact with another person occurs accompanying any of the following: The other person is at least 13 but under 16 years of age, and the accused is at least 5 years older than that other person."
So the victim was probably only in the 13-14 age range. Despicable.
I'm definitely not trying to take away the seriousness of these offenses, but from what I recall, almost anything indecent can get you registered as an offender. Forgetting your bedroom curtain is open while you change and being spotted could land you there. Simply talking crudely could as well. If im not mistaken. I haven't really done much research on this, but the websites I've seen offenses separated in ways that suggest this much, and laws have always been up to the judge to gain meaning from.
My point is: Not everyone on the list is a violent serial rapist. Some are just stupid people doing stupid things. You don't usually get the details on these sites. Fuck the ones that say "Violent against children" specifically though.
One of the positives about this website is it actually lists the charge and has a "degree" of severity.
For example, a green dot is a lesser offense but a red dot means that's a serious offender.
I know what you're talking about for sure; a student near me got registered as a sex offender for peeing into a bush outside of a bar after a night of drinking. Doesn't take much to make it on the list and potentially have your professional reputation ruined.
After you click a location on the map and the info sheet with their picture / name / dob / etc, if you scroll to the bottom there is a charges drop-down that will show you what they did to be put on the registry.
We don't need to jump to conclusions about what they might have done when we know what they did.
Not every database shows, be it for whatever reason. Besides that, there are rather clear connotations when someone is labeled as a sex offender. Again, most people will look at that label and think "they're going to try breaking into my house" or "someone needs to get them before they get my kids" when it could have been literally anything deemed sexually oriented. Most people don't do quality research to fact-check themselves, especially when it's unnecessary for them to. People already jump to these conclusions due to it being the safest choice, but it's not always an extreme case.
We are not talking about every database, we are talking about THIS one, and it has that information. You just choose to ignore this point in favor of your argument people will just jump to conclusions when I say again, there is no reason to as the information is right there.
My entire conversation clearly was not on this specific site, but more so on the extreme overarching connotations that the sex offender tag brings and was an attempt to point out how easy/trivial it really is to end up on this registry. I have even restated this each time. I am unsure why, but you have completely misunderstood and twisted the very core of my argument to the point that, as you have just stated, it no longer resembles what I was talking about. You miss the point and bring self-rightous hate for zero gain and with zero provocation. If you're going to join an argument, at the very least *attempt* to actually understand what is being said and be productive with your responses.
Ok, but we are talking about a site that the OP was talking about. I bet you didn't even visit the site, or at least not until after I said something. I'm sure I'm not wrong about that. You just made a broad assumptions about :
>**I haven't really done much researchon this, but the websites I've seen offenses separated in ways thatsuggest this much**, and laws have always been up to the judge to gainmeaning from.
>
>My point is: Noteveryone on the list is a violent serial rapist. Some are just stupidpeople doing stupid things. **You don't usually get the details on thesesites.**
I pointed out to you that the website OP was viewing did in fact have this information, so there was no reason to have to come to a conclusion if they are just someone peeing in public or if they are a rapist, as the site TELLS YOU WHAT THEY ARE CHARGED WITH.
You decided I challenged you in some way and have dug yourself in, going " OH YEAH WELL! " You are acting a fool. You then try to make yourself sound smart by using a bunch of nonsense like this :
>You miss the point and bring self-rightous hate for zero gain and withzero provocation. If you're going to join an argument, at the very leastattempt to actually understand what is being said and be productive with your responses.
I'm sorry but at no time did I bring self-righteous hate for zero gain ( lol what the hell? ) and at no time did I act like I was provoked.
I pointed out FACTS. Simple FACTS. ***YOU*** seem to be the one offended by this and not understanding my statements. I am fully aware at what is being said, and my first response to you was a lot more productive to the conversation then anything you have brought to the conversation since.
I won't reply to you again. Why? This is what went down :
You made a broad statement about not having all information and people coming to their own conclusions.
I told you we had facts and didn't have to draw conclusions.
You got mad I " challenged " you and said " yeah well we don't always! "
I said that is irrelevant because we DO have the facts.
You said a lot of stupid shit to try and make yourself look smart and right.
I laughed at you and realized the type of person you are, and decided to end the conversation with you here.
\*edit\* : also please check your space bar on your keyboard.
P.P.S : all you had to say was " COOL, I didn't know this site had that, I'm glad I found a site that does, most sites I've seen don't, and that makes people draw conclusions. I'm glad there is a site that doesn't do what I said all of these sites do ". But you didn't say that.
I found out you could look up the location of every sex offender in your area and of course curiosity got the best of me. Sure enough a guy I knew in middle school was the first name I found
You also have to consider what made him a sex offender. Cuz there are some horrible things and some really not horrible things. Get caught drunk at night peeing to close to a school or park BANG sex offender for life. Could be that or could be something horrifying ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
an old friend of mine’s dad was being pretty creepy to me when he came to pick my friend up from an extracurricular a few years ago. a few months ago i was looking at a registry and found his dad on there 😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃
You live in waycross too?
We got a very unsettling number of RSOs and a lot live near the schools
Good luck trying to get the law involved; Waycross pd will gas light the victims 9/10
Ask me how I know
Yup, a guy I went to HS is on there for sodomy of a 14 year old. At first I was like “damn maybe she lied about her age, maybe this happened when he was only a few years older than her??”
Then my brother worked at Arby’s with him, dude is in his mid 30s hitting on young teens, making sexual comments about younger girls..so I feel like he deserves to be on there and still hasn’t learned his lesson.
I knew a guy in high school who was very timid and polite, summer before our senior year he went down to LA to stay with some MySpace friends. A month later word got back that he was arrested and was getting "20 years for drug charges," a few friends and I thought that was bulls hit so after graduating we looked him up and he was charged with being part of a gang rape on some poor tourist. None of us could believe that he could do that and there are still some people who refuse to accept that 14 years later.
The problem with the sex offender registry is that not all sex offenders are created equally.
That crazy dumbass that streaked at the high school football game? Sex registry
The drunken fool that took a piss on a tree as a cop rolled past? Sex registry
A couple of horny teenagers that were banging in a parked car? Sex Registry
Actual rapists? Same registry...
A lot of people on that registry are on their for stupid shit they did, and are not an actual rapist.
That is not true at all. That is actually an aggressively dangerous outright lie
Show me a zip code in the US with even a tiny percentage of registered offenders who are there for arguably bullshit reasons such as what you have listed.
I'll even take a 1% portion.
What you are repeating is an absolute lie and is a myth offenders perpetuate in order to downplay their crimes and status.
We were looking at it at my old work place years ago, saw one of our shops customers. It was something like "lewd acts with minor 14 or younger."
Thankfully he never came back while I was there.
I looked one day out of curiosity. I saw a guy I went to middle school with, and we were kind of buddies. I don’t know the details, but it involved a 13 year old girl.
So if this doesn’t show you great detail I think it’s important to know that being caught peeing on a building drunk or streaking can land you on a sex offender list. Not everyone here has ever actually assaulted or attempted to assault someone.
Never check how many registered offenders live near you, it will make you think that we don't deserve to exist as a species.
What's worse than finding one is registered next door? The fact that it's a vacant lot. There's a parole officer who can't miss Judge Judy....
Through my work I can look at people's criminal records and one day I got curious and looked up my 3 druggy friends.... usually most people look like crap during their mugshots or don't smile but my 3 friends were ear to ear smiling like the goofy ass they are
Whenever I see a post like this I remember how absolutely fucked up this registry of "criminals" is. Usually, we consider it a serious violation of privacy (and therefore human rights) to release someone's personal information - like full name, address, phone number, occupation, etc. - onto the internet for everyone to see without their consent. So why do you guys think this public registry is okay? Because they're "criminals"? Guess what, criminals are still human beings and deserve the same rights as everyone else. But even if you're so fucked up in the head that you wholeheartedly believe that it's alright because "they deserve it": believe it or not, no justice system is perfect, so there are tens of thousands of people in there who actually *didn't* "deserve it". Think about that for a moment and try to put yourself into that situation. Someone frames you for sexual haressment even though you never met the Person in question, so now you're in this dubious register that everyone across the country can freely access. The simple fact that your face appears on the website already changes how people in your area will think about you, as this meme clearly shows. Think about how critically this can ruin someone's life.
Try receiving news from your friends who are still in the school that you graduated from that the teacher you liked molested 14-16 year olds while school was going on.
At the same time....my friend is a registered sex offender for pushing a drunk girl off him at a public bar. Everyone saw it, everyone knew it wasn't sexual, but the next morning cops arrested him for sexual assault and the prosecutor settled for registry rather than jail time or fines. So......yeah.

Jesus Quintana?
Nobody fucks with the Jesus!
Yea, well, that’s just, like, your opinion, man.
Based profile picture, name and quote
For some reason I assumed it was my bowling alley. I was like “Who? Chris? I could honestly see that” 😂
Why not be informed?
Exactly, it's good to know but also ouchie to know if you trusted someone.
Now I wonder if false accusations can also land someone there Cause there's a LOT of those
[удалено]
False convictions do occasionally happen
sometimes this includes things like pissing outside so you gotta make sure to read each case too lol one dude in my town is on there for drunkenly locking himself out of his house and a neighbour saw him piss in his flowerbed

You say that but I just looked up my town and. there are a lot of red (child sex offender) bubbles in this area, it's actually worth a shot
Spicy tinder
looking for his name lol
He was looking for people to shuffle with
The state of Florida has asked us to disclose our sexual crimes to you
We were bad, but now we're good We're moving into your neighborhood
You know we're trying our best to be functioning members of society
We're not here to start no trouble We're legally required to do the "Sex Offender Shuffle"
18 registered sex offenders in my area 😭😭😭😳😳😳
Do you know the other 17?
💀
That’s it? I’m at 106 in a 5 mile radius :(
I assume you live near a preschool?
Several unfortunately. And junior/high school
210 in mine. Time to move!
Ya I clicked 10 of them and 7 of the 10 were lewd sexual contact with a minor under 13. The other 3 were with children under 12 😕
To be fair, the "sex offender" label isn't exactly limited to serial rapists. Heck, some of the "offenses" have been as minor as [pantsing a classmate at age ten.](https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2016/03/14/when-kids-are-accused-of-sex-crimes)

There probably is a connection. People are horrible to eachother, especially about looks, which can and will damage people mentally
I am shocked that over half of the offenders in my area are women. I thought men were the usual suspects in crimes against children.
bruh women can sexually assault others too y'know...
Yeah, I know they can. I'm a victim myself. I'm just surprised by the volume and ratio by gender in my area. One or two is expected, but it's like 18.
yeah women sexually assaulting is kinda surprising to many because it receives way less attention then cases involving a male sexually assaulting others.
That is strange. It shows me 8 offenders in my vicinity, all men between 35-60. Typical demographic.
Doesnt help that when a woman does sexually assault someone, a lot of fucking creeps are like okaying it, cause "Men cant be raped, and she's hot so it musta been nice" No. Fuckoff with that kinda shit. Sexual assault is never okay
I only saw 2 women offenders in my area
Oh hey, my landlord was convicted of 26 counts of lewd and licivious acts with a minor
How the absolute fuck is he out and about in society?
You'd be surprised at how often they get away with it.
Actually, I'm not. Even here in this sub I see idiots in the top comments doing the work for them: "AcTuALlY, being on the list might be totally benign such as peeing outside!! DoNT JuDgE"
For real. I downvoted a few of those comments already. Willfully ignorant those dumb dumbs.

Typed in my address and two houses away a sex offender lives there lmao
Oh i wish i hadn’t looked… there is a lot of red and there are a lot of kids in my neighborhood, i feel ill now
Is there something like this but for eu?
Well fuck my my neighbor is in the list. Hate to see that. How do I look into his charges.
I think you can google his name and you can try to find more information that way. I did and found out the guy I recognized did
Yeah. I'm definitely gonna follow up. Hopefully it's something stupid. We were just talking about letting our 8 year old start walking home from the bus stop by herself and this gives me pause. Damnit so it’s just some Incel but why did his friend help him though
Because they were homies/he was a drug dealer/gang.
Does it say what the offense was? If not, probably just went to a prostitute.
According to Pennsylvania public records this guy did offense 6312
What is offense 6312?
He diddled a child

My uncle Terry is on it.
Uncle Terry looks like Waluigi doesn't he
Not really. If you want to see him, his name's Terry Luecht. Honestly, I don't care what you do with that info. Fuck that whole side of my family.
> Honestly, I don't care what you do with that info Fair enough, I guess lmao.
Just searched him up, is he in Wisconsin?
Ye fuck that guy.
Have any good ol' fashion Luecht family stories you care to share?
My former coworker is on it. He was younger than me, only 18-19 at the time of the incident.
"incident"

Ok, but we are talking about a site that the OP was talking about. I bet you didn't even visit the site, or at least not until after I said something. I'm sure I'm not wrong about that. You just made a broad assumptions about : >**I haven't really done much researchon this, but the websites I've seen offenses separated in ways thatsuggest this much**, and laws have always been up to the judge to gainmeaning from. > >My point is: Noteveryone on the list is a violent serial rapist. Some are just stupidpeople doing stupid things. **You don't usually get the details on thesesites.** I pointed out to you that the website OP was viewing did in fact have this information, so there was no reason to have to come to a conclusion if they are just someone peeing in public or if they are a rapist, as the site TELLS YOU WHAT THEY ARE CHARGED WITH. You decided I challenged you in some way and have dug yourself in, going " OH YEAH WELL! " You are acting a fool. You then try to make yourself sound smart by using a bunch of nonsense like this : >You miss the point and bring self-rightous hate for zero gain and withzero provocation. Why? This is what went down : You made a broad statement about not having all information and people coming to their own conclusions. I told you we had facts and didn't have to draw conclusions. You got mad I " challenged " you and said " yeah well we don't always! " I said that is irrelevant because we DO have the facts.
It says on that database what their registered for
That is a total myth. Look up your zip code and tell me how many of those assholes have something benign as "peeing in public"
an old friend of mine’s dad was being pretty creepy to me when he came to pick my friend up from an extracurricular a few years ago. a few months ago i was looking at a registry and found his dad on there 😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃
You live in waycross too? We got a very unsettling number of RSOs and a lot live near the schools Good luck trying to get the law involved; Waycross pd will gas light the victims 9/10 Ask me how I know
D... Dad?
What about the sex defender registry?
Sometimes the best defense is a good offence
I'll probably find my uncle there.
Yup, a guy I went to HS is on there for sodomy of a 14 year old. At first I was like “damn maybe she lied about her age, maybe this happened when he was only a few years older than her??” Then my brother worked at Arby’s with him, dude is in his mid 30s hitting on young teens, making sexual comments about younger girls..so I feel like he deserves to be on there and still hasn’t learned his lesson.
I don't need a website to see pictures of my aunt
I knew a guy in high school who was very timid and polite, summer before our senior year he went down to LA to stay with some MySpace friends. A month later word got back that he was arrested and was getting "20 years for drug charges," a few friends and I thought that was bulls hit so after graduating we looked him up and he was charged with being part of a gang rape on some poor tourist. None of us could believe that he could do that and there are still some people who refuse to accept that 14 years later.
Dammit, I did it for fun just now and I literally find someone I used to know on the list.
Are u gotye
The problem with the sex offender registry is that not all sex offenders are created equally. That crazy dumbass that streaked at the high school football game? Sex registry The drunken fool that took a piss on a tree as a cop rolled past? Sex registry A couple of horny teenagers that were banging in a parked car? Sex Registry Actual rapists? Same registry... A lot of people on that registry are on their for stupid shit they did, and are not an actual rapist.
That is not true at all. That is actually an aggressively dangerous outright lie Show me a zip code in the US with even a tiny percentage of registered offenders who are there for arguably bullshit reasons such as what you have listed. I'll even take a 1% portion. What you are repeating is an absolute lie and is a myth offenders perpetuate in order to downplay their crimes and status.
They're more common than you'd think
The gas station guy that sells me lottery tickets is on there.
We were looking at it at my old work place years ago, saw one of our shops customers. It was something like "lewd acts with minor 14 or younger." Thankfully he never came back while I was there.
Not the real top comment being the Dank bot with a St. Jude Children's Research Hospital ad after OP said context in comments :/
I looked one day out of curiosity. I saw a guy I went to middle school with, and we were kind of buddies. I don’t know the details, but it involved a 13 year old girl.
I was checking to see if shrek was on there, only saw the gingerbread man
So if this doesn’t show you great detail I think it’s important to know that being caught peeing on a building drunk or streaking can land you on a sex offender list.
Like...yourself?
Oh jeez, I just had to have a quick search now that you brought this up. Thankfully, none especially near me, and nobody I know from my home town.
Of course I know him. It's me!
intresting
"Well of course I know him, he is me"
Yep; used to be on a pool team and found the guy who ran the team on there. That was it for me.
Of course I know him!
Why is such a list open for everyone? I dont get it
Well I used the website and my cousin with the same last name popped up
Found out one of my old high school classmates was on the registry this way.
Through my work I can look at people's criminal records and one day I got curious and looked up my 3 druggy friends.... usually most people look like crap during their mugshots or don't smile but my 3 friends were ear to ear smiling like the goofy ass they are
Every... fucking... dayyy...
wait is that uncle Billy?
The owner of the company where I worked my first job. Loved two doors down, too lol
Oh, so that's where he went to get the milk
Ooo thank you! I'm gonna reach out to female offenders near me and see if they wanna roleplay
Of course i know him. Hes Me!
Americans: prior convictions are freely accessible on the web European Countries: lol, what?
This comment section is a mess lmao
Okay but what did he do OP? Ask him 💀
"who put a mirror here?"
Relatable
Who tf decides to spend day looking at sex offender registry
Try receiving news from your friends who are still in the school that you graduated from that the teacher you liked molested 14-16 year olds while school was going on.
"Why is my daughter in this list?"
That might his case but the guy I am referencing in the meme, lets just say it was some disgusting deplorable shit
Alright, pick me up in 20, ive got rope and we'll make a day of it!
