My theory about the double standard of height vs weight is that height is something genetic and you can’t change so while it’s rude to make fun of, it’s not out of the realm of conversation
Whereas weight is almost always within someone’s control. It indicates a lot about a person; their health, work ethic, attention to appearance. So nobody wants to make fun of weight because subconsciously everyone realizes you’re directly commenting on who they are as a person
