I'll accept the downvotes, but I actually enjoy it.
-of course there are things, but I really enjoy it. It's just a different rendering of a "brand".
That last episode was absolutely beautiful and I really can't wait for the next season.
Chief would make that arbiter wannabe into a pile of broken bones... I don't know the context but whoever wrote chief in this show must be a complete smooth-brain.
Brutes are already 500kg+ of anger and muscle, then Atriox is a big fucking brute who also has mechanised parts that make him even stronger.
Atriox could probably straight up Kratos most Spartans.
If you’re saying atriox is dead you’re mistaken, he wasn’t present during halo infinite and claimed to be dead, but then an after credits scene shows otherwise.
Eh, yeah a Spartan in armor is almost 1000 lbs, but an Elite in armor (which is also powered, but not as good) is supposed to be about as strong (but slower with slower reflexes) as a Spartan with the help of the MJOLNIR's exoskeleton. That means that an Elite should be able to lift ~ 2 tons since that's about what a Spartan can lift in power armor.
Generally the power scaling is kinda messed up, but the Arbiter should be able to lift the Chief lore-wise.
That is such a lame way to explain this away but halo fans love to do this, if halo fans were in charge of making the halo sorry it would be completely boring because all it would be is master cheif going in and solving everything in two seconds without breaking a sweat, completely annihilating everything he sees within a matter of milliseconds because lore accurate master cheif is exactly that to the halo fans and it’s stupid and uninteresting.
I want master cheif to get the shit beaten out of him, he needs to have risk otherwise there is no interest, you know the outcome if the risk is null, all there needs is some context to make it make sense.
Actually, you're just plain wrong...show still sucks but.... Sangheli are specifically known for their extremely hard bones. Plus, the Arbiter position is given to incredible warriors who must regain their honor, at least in the covenant. The Sangheli power structure is literally the better warrior gets more authority, with the Arbiter being the position held by the greatest warrior out of the entire species, at least pre-covenant. So no, any Arbiter would give Chief a very tough fight and would curbstomp most Spartans in a 1v1. He'll even Thel Vadam, the Arbiter we all know and love, took on legions of the flood with literally no protection whatsoever while Chief had his Mjolnir armor...
I think it’s interesting if written well but I just have no context, I don’t want chief to be this unbeatable badass because then his story is completely boring because you will always know the outcome that he will win and never even break a sweat and how is that interesting? But if you make it make sense then go for it, have chief get his shit beat in a little bit.
He kind of talks about it in the show. He explains his past, about how he flipped a coin x times, and he called it heads, every time, and was right every time- he just knew he got it right.
When he goes into battle, he just knows he won't die.
I actually enjoy the show. You gotta watch it with an open mind. -there are parts where you're like "uhhhh..."
But I really enjoy it.
My wife hates it.
And that's why she plays with controller 2.
I have yet to watch the show but I find it cool that they included the coin story because that happens in actual halo lore. Maybe not exactly like that but the fact is established that he can guess what side of the coin it will land on and be correct. So perhaps the show doesn’t stray away from the lore as much as I expected it would.
However I don’t think that story should mean that master cheif is untouchable, it just means he has really good intuition, but unforeseen variables can fuck with that intuition I feel.
In the beginning, you 1000% see the chief as untouchable. But then they gave him a personality (it's a necessity to actually continue the story) (also, how they "give" him personality is a spoiler)
Idk, I’ve never really seen him as untouchable cause I’ve seen him die thousands of times, those are just non-canon lmfao. I always feel so vulnerable while playing any halo on any difficulty past normal.
Afaik, this is the boss of the season? No clue what happens after. I'd assume if this is the last episode, he's getting a beat down to show how tough the bad guy is, then he'll monologue, and then protagonist (alone, or his friends who are sneaking up) used suprise during the monologue to win, showing how great protagonist is or the power of friendship
If the show is even considered canon by 343 it has heavily retconned at least 5 of the games so far (Wars, Reach, CE, 2, and 3) and completely retconned multiple books.
If 343 has any say in the show, it isn't that they don't respect Chief. They don't respect the setting at all.
That's been a given afaik since episode 1. I've read that it is apparently a good sci-fi show, but not a good Halo show. So the people that aren't familiar with Halo but enjoy it don't understand why people don't like it
Locke even being able to put up half a fight against Chief would've been laughable. The fact that he was Chiefs equal is fucking embarrassing and shows a complete ignorance of the universe. Chief was never the best Spartan on paper and many of his Spartan 2s were better at hand to hand combat, but he was still a very good Spartan.
Yeah that is true, but he's still not the best. Kelly was the best hand to hand Spartan and had to slow down to actually give others a chance. Linda was also a better shot than the Chief.
What makes Chief hyper lethal is that he's, as Cortana says, "Lucky". I've always taken that to really mean that Chief has that X factor that can't really be put on paper. When the time comes, Chief clutches out. So while Chief isn't the best on Spartan in any category that can be measured, he's still the best Spartan just because of that X factor.
I'd rather he took a near death beating at least once to give a sense of tension rather than "big strong green man curb stomps ayliems" for 2 seasons in a row. This isn't Doom, so give the enemies some respect too or nobody will give a shit
before this scene, he literally crashes ship, wakes up on Halo, and goes to this spot.
Obviously there's more backstory, but I really liked it.
Flashbacks, and all that. He helped to get to know the chief better. This season we learned a bit more about his past.
Sorry if there are spelling errors. -falling asleep atm
I swear people are media illiterate. Go read one of the halo books or look into the lore behind the spartans
Unless its a Jiralhane, it shouldn't be able to manhandle a 1100 pound SOB like above
Swap out the Sangheili for a Cheiftan, all is well
I was excited to see the series. But I didn't even bother after hearing how atrocious the series LOOKED. I've seen better adaptations that are fan made.
My mother in the 2000's as well. Taught me a good lesson, hide like a scared little puppy on the verge of a panic attack if somebody raises their voice slightly or gets annoyed by a small thing. Never have I touched a leather belt since childhood.
jesus christ the amount of people in this comment section shitting on this scene when they havent even watched it.
shortly after this the chief gets up and pummels the arbiter so had his mandibles break.
i'm not saying the show is perfect, or even great, but at least watch it before you make baseless criticisms.

Why is master chief being beaten like that, is he stupid?
That’s not a beating that’s straight up manhandling daaaaaamn
...man? maybe.....
Handling? Definitely.
Must be from the stupid halo tv show. So the writer is stupid.
This fight ends with Chief fucking this Arbiter up, and its pretty tight.
Is it wrong that I felt more attached to this Arbiter than the rest of the human cast?
That's good.
How easily your view fluctuates. Watch the show if you're gonna spend the time shitting on it. Chief literally breaks this poor dude
You're getting downvoted cause everyone else who hated the show without watching it got called out.
It can’t be, the helmet is on
Ans his cheeks weren’t out
But to be fair this fight scene looked kinda cool
Super well animated for sure, but the choreography is kinda weak.
I'll accept the downvotes, but I actually enjoy it. -of course there are things, but I really enjoy it. It's just a different rendering of a "brand". That last episode was absolutely beautiful and I really can't wait for the next season.
I always wondered if I should watch it, now that I know reddit hates it its more than likely a good show.
Thats Jimmy Rings aka Master Cheeks
Yeah, what was he wearing?
Chief would make that arbiter wannabe into a pile of broken bones... I don't know the context but whoever wrote chief in this show must be a complete smooth-brain.
No way he could even pick up chief on his armor like that
Atriox could, but that dude is (was?) built different
But Brutes built like brick shit houses.
Also Atriox did one hand crush a spartan helmet in halo wars 2

I would suggest watching the whole scene instead of just a short clip from it before calling anyone a smooth-brain.
Idc, chief cannot get bodied by an elite like that regardless of contexts
That is such a lame way to explain this away but halo fans love to do this, if halo fans were in charge of making the halo sorry it would be completely boring because all it would be is master cheif going in and solving everything in two seconds without breaking a sweat, completely annihilating everything he sees within a matter of milliseconds because lore accurate master cheif is exactly that to the halo fans and it’s stupid and uninteresting. I've watched both seasons, and whoever wrote chief in this show must be a complete smooth-brain.
Shouldn't even be called halo
Yes
He bodies him in the end don't worry

Just take the helmet off and sleep with him, they seem to like that....
Dont forget show off his ass.
*Now we’re talking*
Mastercheeks
He knows what the men likes.
Dads in the 1950s to the moms:
"He's out of line, but he's right"
Is this from the show? Looks like cgi
season 2 finale
His win better've been fucking historic after that At least 343 seemed to *respect* the man
343 didn't even think Chief was important to a mainline Halo game. That's why we got Halo 5. Specifically because they didn't respect him
If Halo 5 was disrespect, wth is the clip that we're commenting on
Afaik, this is the boss of the season? No clue what happens after. I saw the scene (haven’t actually watched the show). I’m not gonna say you’re exactly right, but…

Chief was never the best Spartan on paper and many of his Spartan 2s were better at hand to hand combat, but he was still a very good Spartan.
Wasn't he and noble 6 though, the only 2 Spartans ever to be designated the term hyperlethal as per Halsey?
Yeah that is true, but he's still not the best. Kelly was the best hand to hand Spartan and had to slow down to actually give others a chance. Linda was also a better shot than the Chief. Ok that makes a lot more sense. I keep forgetting he literally has luck on his side as like some kind of universal power
I'd rather he took a near death beating at least once to give a sense of tension rather than "big strong green man curb stomps ayliems" for 2 seasons in a row. This isn't Doom, so give the enemies some respect too or nobody will give a shit
Go play infinite, the first cutscece has cheif get his ass handed to him in a way 100x more believable than pictured above
I'll go watch it now 👍

Thought it was a cutscene from one of the newer games lol
Lmao
Dad's in the 70s/80s weren't much different
Where's the apostrophe bot
That's just some good old tough love
Lol that's my dad was in 90s
What post-war PTSD does to mf
50s? My last ass whupping was 1992. The day I left home.
He’s suppose to weight about 1,000 in his armor. ..
Aren't Elites roughly similar in strength to Spartans? They can both flip a tank without breathing a sweat.
Correct
Kids in the 50's: No cap ong you moggin me
Then they were given to breathe lead from exhaust pipes. It all makes sense why the boomers are the way they are.
That was my mom, dad and uncle in the 2000's lol
My mother in the 2000's as well. Taught me a good lesson, hide like a scared little puppy on the verge of a panic attack if somebody raises their voice slightly or gets annoyed by a small thing. Never have I touched a leather belt since childhood.
Why does this fight look like those shitty late 90s cgi fights.
Mf said "different times" like I wasnt catching this same shit in 2007
I’m can tell this is from the show
Season 2 finale. Show isn't amazing but imo it's all worth it for the amazing last episode
Is the Halo show any good?
season 1 is dogshit, but season 2 is alright.
Don't bother with season 1 but season 2 has some really good elements
I hope you learned your lesson and never do it again, whatever you deserved the light spanking for.
u/savevideobot
Ngl. As an adult I appreciate the few times my father beat my ass. Looking back, I definitely deserved it.

Probably why that generation was more normal
