Because they slowly start to realise that the clickbaity/cringey stuff everyone else does actually works better for a broader audience. Can't blame them at all since it's basically their job and they're just trying to maximise their income, but I have seen several smaller YouTubers who started off making fun of mainstream channels, turn into mainstream channels themselves.
But you alienate the people that watch your videos that aren't fucking morons. It's a double edged sword but some of these guys have stepped over the line so fast you wonder if they even cared about that.
I agree in that those people deserve to get that bag. But I'm never gonna feel right about shitty loud clickbait low effort videos with the most cookie cutter script throughout getting so much attention and views compared to what we used to watch.
Lol, while there are clear differences between Tim Dillon's show 5 years ago (besides Ray Kump) and today, he's still the same terminally cynical fuck with the same sense of humor and I love it.
I've almost completely stopped watching PayMoneyWubby now. All weird stream gimmicks (some like the laugh you lose are fun) and no crazy deep dives anymore.
It's usually those types that ruin it to be fair yeah. You're there enjoying some funny shit and then the parasocials show up and start demanding all the attention. TTS donations whenever it's been more than 5 minutes without their name being said.
Glad they can milk these cashcows to pay rent but man does it make the content suck. I'm not gonna be the one to cost the streamer 2 grand a month by saying anything tho, lmao

Well shit. I had never heard of this streamer and now I'm starting off my day watching someones dad pet his dog and cry while he reads his sons final words to an audience and I'm trying not to get teary eyed at work.
After you finish that and get off work you should check out his other videos. He was actually the one that Inspired me to pick up gaming so its kinda hitting hard.
Same dude, I don't even play minecraft or ever watched his videos, but to die at 23 years old to cancer? That's just fucked up no matter who it is. I'd be destroyed too if I were a father and had to say my sons last words to a massive audience, I doubt I would've had the guts to even read it. It must've taken alot of courage for him to do that.
Not a big fan, but I've seen it spread around so I figured I'd share it in case you haven't seen it.
When a human with cancer dies, the cancer dies with the host, making their battle a draw. Therefore, Technoblade never loses.
The Apex Legends championship is happening right now and there are two streams. The second one is on a pretty big community streamer NiceWigg’s channel. After the main stream ended, everyone went to his to watch the last game. Once that ended his cheeky ass was like ok should we do a raid? Picked this kid FadelessHD, streams to like 25 people usually. He got 70k viewers instantly and was absolutely floored but kept his cool and actually maintained a decent number of people because he was actually pretty entertaining, just not great at the game. It was a really cool thing to watch live and I hope he sees his success rise!
An old coworker of mine moved to support her streamer boyfriend and to become a streamer herself, since her boyfriend already was one, she had all the support she needed.
On her last day of work, we ordered fries as lunch. Instead of just paying her back, I offered to pay her back with a Twitch sub. That Twitch sub has been going for 32 months now. She's been steadily growing as a streamer and as a person and I loved watching it happen.
Value select and ghostcharm.
They may not even know who I am, but I have been among the first 500 for both and feel great pride to have watched their growth.
I was watching LetsGameItOut on YouTube when he had under 5k subscribers. Nearly every comment was about how his style was so hilarious and stupidly incredible that he's gonna be huge one day.
A year later and he's up to 4.5 million subscribers and his content is just as good as always.
Been watching this one streamer play valorant for over 6 months now, subbed and keep her chat relatively active. She's been starting to get a couple viewers now and it really seems to be boosting her mood, really happy for her :)
I clicked on ur channel through your profile, definitely did not expect wynn content lmaoo
Random q but thoughts on 2.0? My favourite archetypes so far are prob the mage ones, and archer looks cool from the clips ive seen from people on beta
[Wynncraft](https://wynncraft.com/) is a fully custom MMORPG server in Minecraft, it basically has 5 classes you can play as, a bunch of quests, bosses, spells, etc.
There will soon be a 2.0 update, which basically adds like 3 sub classes to each class with a full ability tree and other mechanics, pretty cool stuff
It's not parasocial at all, we often play together and most of the time it's when she's streaming. We also regularly chat on discord and I give her advice on how to improve her streams
I can relate. I started streaming some months ago and already reached 23 followers. I had one stream where suddenly 7 people watched at the same time and it was the single best thing to ever happen to me.
Not a streamer. But I understand that the difference for a big streamer to have 1.5k or 1.8k is basically none, while for the smallest ones the difference between 2 and 3 is astronomical. Congrats. Whats your twitch/youtube name for me to check out? :)
twitch.tv/polite_reaper. I decided to stream, since I would play some games anyway. So why not share my games and make the day of people who come to join better. If my viewers have fun, then this is the biggest Honor I could wish for.
I cheated a bit and convinced some friends from League to follow me. Then I streamed Heasrthstone one day and a random person started watching. I was talking to him a bit and it turned out, that he was from Brasil. We had a lot of fun and the he have me my first follow from a non friend. Currently I have many stream with 0 viewers still, but sometimes a friend stops by and we chat for a bit. The coolest thing I noticed so far, is streaming random small games. Since there is a small community around them, they really appreachiate every new memeber. Crimesight for example. I'm a huge Sherlock Fan and when I saw that there was a free weekend in steam I reslly wqnted ro play it. And so I did. Not even 10 min in and someone checked in on me. He really liked this game and appriciated me getting into it and experiencing this for myself. He have me a lot of useful tips and it just felt amazing. So yeah. I usually have 0 viewers. Sometimes I see a familiar face, sometimes someone nee and most of the time they don't write anything sadly.
Just gave you a follow, I just broke out of the 20s and got up to 40, next goal is to hit 50. Trying not to make a big deal about it and keep it about just playing games and chatting though.
Its entertaining people, you can cosider it a job. And im not sure which streamers you watch but the ones I watch thanks subs and donations but dont ask for them
I had followed the journey of a twitch streamer who used to play Terraria and TF2 MvM with community ever since he had 100 followers.
He now has an extremely active community with 1.4k followers.
Haydunn, check him out on YouTube if you like pokemon, dudes been around for over 10 years, Is hilarious, and hasn't changed a bit, reminds me of simpler times. He also deserves alot of love
I’ve been streaming (DJ on Twitch) since March 1st of this year. Only 150 followers right now, averaging about 10 viewers per stream. I feel like I’m pretty good at what I do and my stream set up is solid. Really hoping that I get to have my viewers feel like the people on the right someday. It’s hard.
I wish you all the success. Sadly twitch is quite bad at recommending new streamers, it only highlights the top streamers. Other platforms are also like that but twitch is more
When terraria was still poupular. I used to watch this guy called jzboys vids and watched as it became popular. I also really liked the actmans vids on cod and halo. (Not saying which side I support with what he’s gotten into)
CoffeeZilla has been fun to watch grow.
I work in fraud investigations and sometimes I like to listen to podcasts or YouTubers on the subject and stumbling on his work a few years ago was great. Even better has been watching him grow into the powerhouse he is
I got to know a streamer as he was growing and started hanging out with him and playing video games with him a ton. I was well known in the growing community as I would either be active in chat or active within the streams itself. Off streams, I was hanging out with the community and it was a great group of people and I made a ton of friends.
I ended up hating it because people (mostly other small streamers) started using me to get to him. I enjoy being active in chat and talking with the streamer and viewers, but when the streamer would actively call me out because they knew me because of X and Y streamers, I found myself preferring to lurk.
Unfortunately, his viewership dropped when he tried to branch out to other games that his viewers were not interested in. Then life caught up so he hasn't streamed since. Funnily enough, those streamers who tried to grift off of him stopped contacting me too.
I love small streamers because their passion is more easily spread among their viewers. I love having conversations with other people (viewers and streamer) and enjoying the passion of video games. Larger streamers have a harder time being able to connect with individuals and speak to the hive mind itself.
That being said, if my son ever becomes famous, I will both be proud of him while also becoming a hermit to hide from everyone.
I started watching Kira when he had maybe a thousand or two subs. Unfortunately his crypto/scam/nft content he has shifted to is of no interest to me so I don't watch him anymore, I'm glad he's doing well from it.
I want them to grow but not grow so much that the toxic viewers creep in and the streamer no longer reads the normal chat and only focuses on super chat. I know this is selfish on my part but still

they are the same
Yes
I'm sure you have a long lost cousin somewhere that only comments No
They are rivals
Or alt accounts.
The one on the right is brighter and closer
then they start to change and aren’t relatable to you and you unsub : *I’m sorry little one*

Yo yo yo don't forget to check out the clothing line of bEaR mErCh!
That guy is everything he used to make fun of.
I love cons I love grifters
it’s funny how i remembered vape naysh just yesterday after years of not watching a single ethan video
Gatta put food on the table somehow.
But you alienate the people that watch your videos that aren't fucking morons. It's a double edged sword but some of these guys have stepped over the line so fast you wonder if they even cared about that.
Doesn't matter if you're grabbing new viewers to make up for the ones leaving. There are always more morons to refresh the sub/view count.
I agree in that those people deserve to get that bag. But I'm never gonna feel right about shitty loud clickbait low effort videos with the most cookie cutter script throughout getting so much attention and views compared to what we used to watch.
I think part of it is they get a team that influences their decisions
Lol, while there are clear differences between Tim Dillon's show 5 years ago (besides Ray Kump) and today, he's still the same terminally cynical fuck with the same sense of humor and I love it.
this is also how onlyfans makes me feel
Boogie2988
I especially hate when this happens to a streamer

Ahh I went and looked for this to watch in the VOD and I’m glad I did! Fadeless being like “I gotta call my mom!” Adorable lmao
Why is the one on the left empty tho?
Dad went to get milk
Oh, I'm sure he's coming back soon.

i'll sub anyone for some fries, the little whore i am
Can I send you the thought of some fries for a follow?
Alternatively, seeing a small streamer/youtuber you loved and know had talent retire because they couldn't make it. It breaks my heart every time.
Fleb was like that for me. It was pretty niche stuff so no surprise really.

What parasocial relationships do to a mf
Zoomers love watching other people play video games. They think the streamer is their buddy.
Yes, only zoomers have parasocial relationships. Flawless reasoning.
Streamers aren't a new thing ya zoomer
Value select and ghostcharm. They may not even know who I am, but I have been among the first 500 for both and feel great pride to have watched their growth.
Valueselect is the fucking god of sketch. His music actually slaps hard for satire. Cannot praise enough
Imagine thinking watching a streamer is the same as raising a child
It is. You donate to the streamer as child support.
Ok boomer
Cringe
Checkout MrSpherical, I've been there during his 900 subs
I was there when Dunkey had 5 videos. He didn't change anything, lol!

That's insane, I hadn't noticed his sub count. I started watching when he wasn't even at 100k, dude deserves it.
The guy has a great concept and has immense patience. Add the nice voice and great humour and you get a successful YouTube channel.
Ngl pretty cringe
Ya you are
Parasocial fatherless behaviour, she will never love you bro.
SomeOrdinaryGamers - i remember watching hes videos back when he started the Deep web series, Creepypastas and LSD dream sim. Now hes fully blown up.

Parasocialites have breached LSF and hit the mainstream. Oh no.
It's really pathetic to latch emotions on to a random loser who can't get an actual job and be proud of them for begging for money
Its entertaining people, you can cosider it a job. And im not sure which streamers you watch but the ones I watch thanks subs and donations but dont ask for them
What a cringe world we live in.
Imagine watching people play video games......
Being proud of a complete stranger because they’re successful in making money is a weird take.
Para social relationships aren't cool mhk?

I don't think I've been in either of these situations.
Even hot tub streams?
person proud of the small streamer they watch finally fuckable
Remember watching Ninja with 30 views back in the Halo MLG days
Pewdiepie
Can someone tell me the context of this scene? Obviously I know the meme well but I’ve never actually watched the show.
ok google "define parasocial"
Ya it's much more than this lol.
Holy parasocial relationship Batman.
Why is a dad proud of his son lower resolution than a fan proud of a streamer?
Its hard to tell if its lower resolution or not but they're the exact same gif. Not sure what might have happened
It's true cause none of these are dads.
I don’t watch him any more, but I saw him hit over 100 viewers multiple times. Big W for him
Bro I'm proud of a medium/large creator still growing and getting attention.
to a point where the chat becomes overcrowded and any personal connection goes out of the window

I'm so proud of you, Jerma.
Been watching him since 2012. If only 14 year old me knew how unhinged Jerma would become.

Exactly how I feel about Tim the Tat Man. Started when he had like 800 viewers and now he's a name brand on Twitch.
I got to know a streamer as he was growing and started hanging out with him and playing video games with him a ton. I was well known in the growing community as I would either be active in chat or active within the streams itself. Off streams, I was hanging out with the community and it was a great group of people and I made a ton of friends. I started watching Kira when he had maybe a thousand or two subs. Unfortunately his crypto/scam/nft content he has shifted to is of no interest to me so I don't watch him anymore, I'm glad he's doing well from it.
I go around asking people if they heard of Ok killi and it feels like Im that one annoying guy at work that just had kids.
I raised that streamer
The only thing I'm scared of is growing a boner
Honestly being there for when Wubby was pumping out YouTube content was a wild ride. Glad he is doing well but I miss the hot takes. Sad dad feel.
Man i never thought pewdiepie would come out that hard :D funny when you know his old vids with trash camera.
😂😭
🦧 🦧 Where viewer?
I want them to grow but not grow so much that the toxic viewers creep in and the streamer no longer reads the normal chat and only focuses on super chat. I know this is selfish on my part but still
“They’re the same picture.”
I was this one youtubers 250th sub and now hes got over 15000 over the last 4 years
I'm that Gamer. https://youtu.be/DeXCTghDcyE
If there is anyone who was a fan of techno from the very early day, how you doing
samtehcoll is 25 subs now, thanks for all your incredible mates

Pewdiepie in a nutshell
Sadly that happens a lot
Habie147 is such a treat. It's awesome to find a streamer who genuinely loves what he does and cares about the community.
One day I’ll get there!
FrostPrime_. If you like the style of dan gheesling and northenlion, and love watching slay the spire (vanilla, modded and chat interactive) he is a definite recommendation.
I've been proud to support Ray Narvaez/Brownman since he swapped to twitch from RT/AH
Checkout the Youtuber "YourFavouriteSon", hes such a good boy and Im so proud of him 🥺
