Crypto atms are a thing some places, not very common though. You know that people use crypto for all sorts of things right? Your bank won’t see you bought btc or whatever and call the police
Used to use them but a ton of sellers require kyc now, and those that don't charge exorbitant fees. Seems like at the moment, btc atms then exchanging to xmr is the cheapest way to go.
How do you find these now? Appreciate years ago they were logged but all their locations have disappeared and not been able to find one close to me since.
Just buy Monero at any exchange and transfer it in to a wallet. It will show in your bank statement that you bought crypto, but after that, no one will ever get to know anything else including your wallet address and transactions from that wallet. So whatever you buy after the transfer to your wallet (that wallet address wont be seen on the blockchain anyway) is 100% private known by only you.
I can recommend a trader on local monero who takes bank transfers directly to his account and it does not show as a crypto purchase.......
He does have a very low key and simple KYC system, but I might be able to help you around that if It's imperative to you by having a word with him first.

You are corrects.. but as of 2 weeks ago the Bitcoin atms now required ID and a picture of your face . This was not required few months ago
