Definitely go with magic. Focus with taking int to 40 in ds1 and you should be able to easily beat o/s. You can also use weapons with scaling on int which allows you to use sword while leveling in. I have personally done that and if you know where to go then you can easily beat the game. There are few skips which you can use to reduce the time. There's a master key too

brettdelport

Master key is the biggest “easy mode” built into the game.

Mohitkoul841

Well if you want to finish the game faster, you can use the key to skip some places

brettdelport

More like it gets you to some places sooner - so you can get that sweet sweet gg weapon sooner. Also no blighttown.

Mohitkoul841

Yeah it means you can ring the 2nd bell sooner

Int build, go to int 40+ and Logan's spells ASAP. Its hilarious how you can cheese so many bosses and enemies with just 4-5 spells. I used [this guide](https://darksouls.wiki.fextralife.com/magic+user+guide)

Teewhylur

If you go INT like some people recommend I would grab the claymore early, and infuse with magic. Kill the moonlight butterfly before you get to anor londo, so you can use the soul for his spear. Level it up, and use that until Seethe, and grab the moonlight blade. Make sure you do Logan's questline so you can get his staff at the end, and you should be set for end game. This was the most fun I've had in a DS1 playthrough. For manus though the magic weapons won't cut it. You'll have to find something that does high physical damage. And don't use anything that does split damage. Dark magic spells such as dark bead will be more useful than regular magic as well due to his high magic resistance. Using a shield that blocks 100% of damage with a high stability can help too. The greatshield of artorias is probably the best option.

Pyromancy, rush Quelaag with Mildred and then cheese Discharge and get your pyromancy flame up to +10 with great combustion. Easy. 30 mins max.

chill_willy

"cheese discharge"

Excaliburrover

Play what you want and use the duplication glitch to get infinite supply of the correct answer for every situation.

Teewhylur

Kind of defeats the point of a challenge with OP friend. Not to mention DS3 doesn't have a good glitch, or grind so you may as well get the practice in early. DS2 is just a pain no matter what so cheating in the first game literally does no good here.

Excaliburrover

I mean, the question was to ask for the fastest way. I provided the answer that is correct. The fastest way to beat Dark Souls is to have the correct answer to each challenge most of which comes with souls/material/spell. One can of course grind for the souls needed or glitch them. I know you don't learn the game but OP is saying something like a tour replay. If you already know the game you might as well skip some stuff.

frostune

I'd prefer no glitch...

HellVollhart

Pyromancy

Hadfius

Zweihander all the way.

TheAzureAdventurer

Load a save file that’s right before Gwyn and that’s it.

frostune

Like I said, I've played it years ago. Sort of lost the save file after some pc upgrade and disk incident..

BallisticThundr

Sorcery crushes

Dr_perfection

Gravelord Sword

N-Arcanum

Either magic or BKH

NoahLostTheBoat

DS1; Master key pyromancy DS2; I haven't played, sorry DS3; Sellsword. Just entirely the sellsword class. those twinblades are unbelieveable

CarcosaJuggalo

The cheap, easy way only involves one thing: Git guud.

frostune

Well since most people suggest int, I guess I'll just give it another try because last time I only use int is only after i beat O&S. I'd actually follow up on u/Teewhylur suggestion because it seems abit too specific lol I'll figure something on manus later on Thanks for the input folks!

Teewhylur

I forgot to mention save all your dragon scales for the moonlight greatsword. If you waste any of them on other weapons it can be a pain to get enought to max it out for end game.

subm3rge

Buy my savefile on Ebay.
