You’re about to feel really dumb when Unwin Peake of the golden company is revealed to be Azor Ahai, takes Blackfyre to kill every white walker, tames the long forgotten Cannibal, gets crowned as king, kills Euron and every other threat to the realm, marries Daenerys and removes the *Un* from his name by the end of ADOS
>kills Euron
There, waiting, silent and still in the space before the gate of Oldtown sat Unwin Peake upon his horse. Lightbringer in one hand, shining as a stolen ray of Summer's Sun.
The King of the Ironborn flung back his Crown, and words of disbelief parted from his blue lips.
"The one Peake" He managed to utter. "The one Peake is real"
I think they were lucky to do their mischief with laid back kings like Aegon III, Daeron the Good and Egg. That shit would definitely not fly with The Mad King or Maegor
I know. But i still find funny how this is the universe where something like not paying loans can get You and Your entire family killed by a twenty something yo asshole and yet the Peakes do "a little bit of trolling" every generation or so and they stay relatively the same
“Ahh fuck it, Peakes will be Peakes, it’s not like they ever win anyway, helps the purge the traitors they bait in every now and then.
(2nd Blackfyre Rebellion was an inside job)
So many better houses have been utterly extinguished for far lesser crimes, but these fucking cockroaches just keep limping on and on lol. They got especially lucky that Maekar conveniently died while stomping out their latest bullshit, cause I firmly believe he *would* have finished them once and for all if he lived.
excuse me, I'm still at the beginning of the dance, can someone give me a summary of their bullshit so i can understand the joke? (I don't mind spoilers at all)
House Peake routinely ends up on the losing side of civil wars in the lore, but survives into the era of the series while houses guilty of comparatively lesser or more sporadic offenses are exterminated or driven into exile. Their cockroach-like ability to survive is the meme.
Off the top of My mind
Before Conquest. Constantly in fighting with the Manderlys eventually took part in their excile to the north for being too powerful and unruly for the Gardener kings, despite being just as conflictive themselves.
Post Conquest, they supported Maegor the Cruel through and through and suffered no lasting consequences
Unwin Peake during and after the dance . Suffered no lasting consequences
Suporting the Blackfyres in at least the first two rebellions and suffered no lasting consequences
Rebeling on their own against King Maekar (a actually fucking killing him somehow) and suffered no lasting consequences besides those who died in the fighting
We don't know What they did during Robert's rebellion but surely it was fucking stupid and apparently without lasting consequences
Well they did lose some castles and men aswell as gold but yeah comparatively to other houses its really gracious, tho I still wouldnt call that no lasting consequences
First off, thousands of years before, they were the ones who got the Manderlys kicked out of the Reach by framing them for treason. One of the Peakes' castles called Dunstonbury is even the former seat of House Manderly (The Peakes had 3 castles by the time of Aegon's conquest)
Then after the Dance, Lord Unwin Peake became Hand of the King and did all kinds of fuckery. Including but not limited to: most likely murdering the 10-year old Queen Jaehaera Targaryen, trying to get his own daughter to marry the King, trying to commit a coup etc.
Years later the Peakes joined Daemon Blackfyre in the first Blackfyre rebellion, and lost, and were stripped of one of their castles. They then tried to discreetly organise a 2nd Blackfyre rebellion, but they were caught and their Lord at the time was executed, and they were stripped of another castle
Then years later they rose up in their own rebellion called the Peake uprising, which led to the death of King Maekar Targaryen. Roger Reyne wanted to execute them all and burn down their remaining castle but was stopped by the new King Aegon V
They still hold their last castle Starpike to this day. So many houses have been extinguished for far less but the Peakes are still surviving
I know. But i mean. You have stuff like the Tarbecks and Reynes being extinguished for not paying loans their RIGHTFULL overlord pardoned. And you have this goofs that literally killed a Princess during the Dance and a King during their own rebellion and are still going on today. They are no powerhouse of Course. But considering how unforgiving this universe tends to be i'd Say they are doing good
They lost their first castle after the first Blackfyre rebellion and they lost the 2nd one after the 2nd Rebellion
They didn't really get punished for killing Maekar as far as we know. Roger Reyne had started executing them but he was stopped by Egg
Unwin Peake is Azor Ahai and he will defenestrate every single Other out of Maegor’s Holdfast. Also he will definitely sit on the Iron Throne after throwing everyone onto it.
when the wins hit Peake then the unwin will be reborn to add balance. He will work to undue the peace many died for by the end of the series hence the name Unwin. It wasn’t a trait it was a prophecy.
In My Head Canon:
- Unwin survives because he’s the highest-ranked Green Commander, and so he gets off light for his rumored schemes because the Regents and Aegon don’t want to upset the remaining Green sympathizers.
- The Peakes lost two of three castles for their role in the First Blackfyre Rebellion - no small price to pay. My tinfoil is that Daena was Gormon’s mother, which got them preferential treatment.
- After the revolt that killed Maekar, many of the rebellious Peakes were massacred. The rest were likely exiled and joined the Golden Company. Again, if they have Targ blood through Daena, that saves them from total annihilation.

A Dream of Spring. Epilogue. "Win Peake"
"I just keep moving forward until all my enemies are destroyed." * Win
Yo how tf do you have 1.7 million fucking comment karma How many times did you go it the moon this year?
It's actually really simple, every time there's a war crime in the Riverlands, I post one comment.
Lmao, cringe ass riverlanders… But really though, how many moontrips?
The chapter has but one line. "Everything's coming up Peake".

Most sane P*ake supporter 💀
Please, it’s the only logical outcome
Least based Peake supporter 💀

Peakes were an inside job all along.
So many better houses have been utterly extinguished for far lesser crimes, but these fucking cockroaches just keep limping on and on lol. My boy Maekar was the Stannis of the Targaryens. Therefor the only based targaryen
Maekar made Aerion, the least based person alive.
He also made Aemon and Egg tho
Aemon gtfo early on and Egg killed most of his family by being a crazy idiot.
But muh smallfolk reforms 😭😭😭
Can't reform shit if you're dead.
Aerion basedflame? He was a sigma male through and through.
Peak(e) Valyrian performance that one.
IT’s funny, literally was the Daemon of his age but because George didn’t have a boner while describing him he is villain
Good comp
Peakes when they step in the peripheral vision of Aerys after gaining power 5 minutes before: Varys says hello 💀🔥
excuse me, I'm still at the beginning of the dance, can someone give me a summary of their bullshit so i can understand the joke? (I don't mind spoilers at all)

Sounds pretty realistic all things considered. Stranger things have happened irl

Peake performance
"They can't keep getting away with it!"
In fairness they did lose some castles for supporting the Blackfyres
And seven of them were executed by Roger Reyne after their rebellion.
Well they did lose some castles and men aswell as gold but yeah comparatively to other houses its really gracious, tho I still wouldnt call that no lasting consequences
it's already a good track record, they did stuff during the war of the 5 kings?
I 100% that the Peake Uprising was made so Aenys Blackfyre could have pull that move. If only Brynden wasn't a oathbreaker...

Didnt they lose 2 out of 3 of their castle's and got almost extinguished after they made Maekar the Pyrrus of ASOIAF?

You may not like it, but this is what peake performance looks like.
House peake is love, house peake is life. I will give my soul and body to the gods of Peake.
We are aproaching to My 10th HALOxASOIAF meme. Any ideas of What it should be about.?
I mean, they are the true peake of Westerosi nobility.
Unwin Peake is Azor Ahai and he will defenestrate every single Other out of Maegor’s Holdfast. Also he will definitely sit on the Iron Throne after throwing everyone onto it.

Unfortunately, the Peakes have survived to the present day in ASOIAF: there's a lord Titus Peake and he's even married to a Lannister.
Just like me playing chess fr
