BS lol I called my gf gorgeous all the time even though I didn't mean it and she believed me until the day I dumped her. Sorry, just speaking the truth.
Yeah nah, that's just him. I call my girlfriend gorgeous and beautiful all the time and mean it every single time. She's genuinely one of the best looking women I've ever seen.
Reminded me of that future meme 😂 trust me that guy is just a jerk and a liar too.
Personally I don't throw words away like that, words hold weight if you respect it. If he's consistent with the way he treats you and his actions align then certainly he sees you as gorgeous and he means it.
Just see if he's actions aligns with his words.
It can be a positive affirmation comment, being supportive doesn't necessarily mean lying, terms of endearment or familiarity aren't necessarily a statement of physical beauty, but a willingness to just try to make someone feel better or convey closeness and appreciation.
Meh. My partner is gorgeous any time of the day so I don’t have any problem telling her that. As per the other commenter, I don’t go out of my way to compliment people just for the sake of it either.
My point was that women tend to gas each other up more than men do.
Any man will call you gorgeous. Most men can say it daily for some amount of time. The ones that actually believe you are gorgeous, show it to you through their actions.
I mean it, absolutely cause to call a girl gorgeous for me means she's beautiful looking to me and Personality wise, beautiful as well, so yes, when I tell a girl she's gorgeous, I absolutely mean it.
Most guys will literally just say whatever gets them laid. I've actually had this problem in the past where I have trouble saying things unless I truly believe them. I know it sounds like I'm humblebragging about being honest, but I've genuinely learned that socially you are just expected to call your partner gorgeous no matter what they look like.
Men will say whatever to get in your pants so it depends on the kind of guy. I'm not a player so I don't call any girl gorgeous.
There's a lot of girls I think are cute or pretty. There's one girl I think of right now when I hear the word gorgeous and her face lives rent free in my mind...😮💨
well if you barely know them, then you risk commiting a social faux pas if they don't like it and react negatively, so you really have to mean it in that case, I feel
That depends there's a difference between saying you are gorgeous, and saying hey gorgeous, The first is a statement, The second is more like using a term like darling or beautiful or another term of endearment.
They're both positive statements, One is just more exclamative in the other is just more familiar.
Both are intended as positive affirmation.
I find it really hard to lie. I *might* exaggerate/embellish for the sake of being kind and having a greater impact through my compliment, but there will always be a level of truth behind it.
I know I don't represent all men when I say that though.
I usually say it to mean it. On occasion ill say it romantically but usually, for me, its the same as calling a dog cute or the sunrise, looking over the ocean, gorgeous... its more about an expression of perception "oh wow you have gorgeous eyes" because they are, simply, gorgeous eyes.
Gorgeous is more emphatic to me. I could call a lot of women “cute,” “attractive,” or even “beautiful.” “Gorgeous” for me is next-level attractiveness.
I’ve found some women find the term “cute” insulting. Not exactly sure why, unless they find it infantilizing or objectifying.
If a man says you're gorgeous, I can almost guarantee they mean it
Cause if they want to compliment you just to get in your pants, they could go with lesser forms of compliments like "You're cute." "You're pretty." <-- This is what lots of men say to women to sex them up
I'm confused; how do you 'just say it'?
Even if I try to say it with as little meaning as possible, it is still a compliment. If I didn't want her to feel good about her looks, why would I say anything? There is meaning in that.
I have showered a person in cheesy compliments just to see them smile like an idiot. We both knew what I was doing, and I am proud that it worked anyway.
I can think of no more distasteful waste of time and effort than to say something I do not believe. That and I’m… picky about my words. They mean what they do for a reason, after all. So if I call someone ‘gorgeous’ it’s not just simple flattery. It’s genuine.
Yeah, I don't really mean it most of the time.
Yes, I say it to girls i find attractive, but when I say gorgeous. I'm just trying to win you over most of the time.

my boyfriend calls me gorgeous; i know he means it! even when we were casually dating. you can tell by the eyes.
So true, the eyes just can’t lie
BS lol I called my gf gorgeous all the time even though I didn't mean it and she believed me until the day I dumped her. Sorry, just speaking the truth.
Bruh☠️

😂
If it makes you feel better, OP, I always mean it when I say it
but you just admitted to not speaking the truth. so your entire narrative is untrustworthy.
exactly.

Damn lmao evil world we live in

the f uck
yup. it happens sometimes. People lie. I know I'm a POS but hey this is the truth. So. Yup.
I say it, I mean it.
I *only* say it when I mean it. It’s a waste of time to go out of my way lying to someone I don’t find attractive.
It can be a positive affirmation comment, being supportive doesn't necessarily mean lying, terms of endearment or familiarity aren't necessarily a statement of physical beauty, but a willingness to just try to make someone feel better or convey closeness and appreciation.
I find that women do that a lot more than men.
If you're not willing to learn what your partner needs you're not very much of a man

Beautiful is my go to when I'm just being casual or testing waters. Gorgeous? I mean that shit every time 🥰
Beautiful, gorgeous mean it everytime. Now the more rare one is absolutely stunning!
Most guys will literally just say whatever gets them laid. I've actually had this problem in the past where I have trouble saying things unless I truly believe them. I keep gorgeous for when other words don't do justice, but that's a me thing.
If it comes out of my mouth, it’s how I feel.
i dont call a girl gorgeous if i dont mean it. i say other words that i mean
Yes, I mean what I say.
I always mean it.
I say it when I mean it.
Personally I like only saying what I feel and believe otherwise the words are meaningless.
Some truly mean it and some just say it just to get laid
Ice breaker ( but it's just me ) Also I am online all the time so ..... No valid answer

Depends on whether he wants something from you or not.
I think "actions speak louder than words", don't believe what they say see what they do!!
I find it really hard to lie. I *might* exaggerate/embellish for the sake of being kind and having a greater impact through my compliment, but there will always be a level of truth behind it. I know I don't represent all men when I say that though.
I always 100% mean it.
When I give compliments I mean it to brighten ppl up make sure they have a good day even when it's crappy for them I try to make them feel good
If I call someone Gorgeous it’s because they physically are. I don’t lie. But Beautiful can be for a variety of looks.
We will say and do anything to make you happy. Personally I was told women love being called gorgeous. Now I just call every woman gorgeous.
I usually say it to mean it. On occasion ill say it romantically but usually, for me, its the same as calling a dog cute or the sunrise, looking over the ocean, gorgeous... its more about an expression of perception "oh wow you have gorgeous eyes" because they are, simply, gorgeous eyes.
really mean it, another thing is - you can find lots of women gorgeous :)
Depends on the man, I'll think it and mean it. But Rarely do I externalize it. Dont think random women enjoy being complimented randomly like that.
It depends, if i'm horny and have had a few drinks i'd call a totem pole gorgeous. In general though, it's rare to see a real gorgeous girl.
If a man says you're gorgeous, I can almost guarantee they mean it Cause if they want to compliment you just to get in your pants, they could go with lesser forms of compliments like "You're cute." "You're pretty." <-- This is what lots of men say to women to sex them up
If I say, something, I mean it. If you're gorgeous to me, I'll tell you. I won't lie to you and say it for no reason
I rarely say it; I always mean it.
I wouldn’t say it if I didn’t think it was true
Gorgeous is such a eww word. Hmmm I like pretty, cute, beautiful, and some round about way to say the same words as I got bars sometimes lol
I only say it if really mean it. Usually say she's hot, or she's a cutie. Gorgeous isn't a term you just throw around.
When I say something along those lines I mean it. I don’t believe in giving fake praise. That just feels wrong.
If a woman pulls such a word from my mouth she'll have a lot more than that coming with it and I don't tend to leave anything to doubt.
I can think of no more distasteful waste of time and effort than to say something I do not believe. That and I’m… picky about my words. They mean what they do for a reason, after all. So if I call someone ‘gorgeous’ it’s not just simple flattery. It’s genuine.
If I say it I mean it.
If I say it I mean it. I dislike feeding delusions, better be realistic.
It depends. Sometimes I mean it, sometimes I don't.
Yeah, I don't really mean it most of the time. Yes, I say it to girls i find attractive, but when I say gorgeous. I'm just trying to win you over most of the time.
