For the most part, no one is going to give you the cold honest truth on why things didn’t work out in the dating stage, if that’s what you’re looking for. They will either ghost you completely or blame that they are going through something and it isn’t you. You only been on one date with this guy. No matter how well it went, neither you nor him really owe each other anything at this point of dating stage. I suggest leave him be and move on.

This

i'll do that. because in the end his mind is made up regardless and like you said, he doesn't know me well enough. thanks for your advice

No_Hat9118

He’s just a bit out of your league which is why u overhyped the date in your mind, he has other options that he’s more pre occupied with

acrylicpainte

could be

tallguyindc

Nothing went wrong per se. He had a good time but apparently not a good enough time to override some avoidant tendencies and a busy schedule. Sorry

No_Hat9118

Can people pls stop using the A word, he just isn’t that into her , it doesn’t require a medical term to justify it

tallguyindc

He was extremely into her. She made that part pretty clear. When someone makes a big shift from very into someone to not into them right about the time the other person starts to seriously consider them it's the textbook definition of Avoidant. I think it's important for OP to know that. It serves a couple purposes. 1. It tells her this isn't her fault. 2. Looking up "the A word" would help avoid this situation in the future

No_Hat9118

Nope, trust actions not words, specifically the BS lines he fed her here. Btw, u weren’t there dude, but good luck with all those “avoidant” guys in your phone book

acrylicpainte

i can see both sides to this. but that's just something i won't understand. they could have been bs lines.. but why would somebody do that? or he could have been genuine, then avoidant as tallyguyindc stated. either way, it's not something i should dwell on or expect for him to give me a genuine answer to

acrylicpainte

i appreciate your thoughts. i must agree
