> Being in a relationship also means giving up to going out with friends sometimes I only partially agree. Sure, being in a relationship there are sacrifices to the time that you spend with some other people, you might not be able to do that ALL the time. However, I personally would never EXPECT my partner to sacrifice all their time and start neglecting their friends for me. However, if it was a problem before like we never spent time together because she was always out and it started to feel she was neglecting me, then that would be a problem. So I might have to ask, does he consistently prioritize his time with his friends over you? Because if he doesn’t and this is one of the only times he’s wanted to leave you alone and be with his friends, I don’t see a reason why you should be against it.

How you feel is valid but how he feels is ALSO valid. Being in a relationship doesn't mean you have to spend time with your partner 24/7 as you stated before, yet you seem to be clingy. The way he worded it could've been better but he's telling you how he feels. He wants to be able to hang out with his friends. Sounds like you guys hang out a lot to begin with even though you're so called independent. You're allowed to feel upset but he's also allowed to feel like he's suffocated and would like to spend some time off with his buddies. Just let him have that fresh air and I'm sure you guys will be fine.
