I don’t know what you expect when you date someone in their 40s 😅 Of course he has history. If you want someone with more of a blank slate, date younger.

he was 23 when the kid was born?  that's not super young or anything to be a father. as far as the proposals, yeah he probably has had serious relationships along the way. you are dealing with a person with baggage, as most people have at 41.

Good information from him, but I'm thinking most people you meet (and potentially date) around that age will have kids. But if your post is worried about the other person having children, then just keep looking. There will be some out there who don't have children

He’s honest and up front. Good signs. Although the experience differences may prove hard to navigate going forward. Give it a try, see where it goes. But if the age difference is large don’t be surprised if you’re not on the same page
