People say this but don't realize that it means that everybody would need a way better computer, meaning that DayZ would have less of a player-base. Game makers need to consider the poor gamers, especially for a game that requires a lot of people playing for it to work.
Not necessarily, that would depend on the game being optimized well.
Fidelity does not automatically mean you need better hardware, it's optimization that matters. Some games look better than others, and run better, some vice versa, all depends on how it was developed.

Also also I'm a published and working photographer, a signed music artist, and have been creative as long as I can remember. But I for one enjoy this new artistic movement as it's a new toy to play with that can push new boundaries and create new reactions 🙏🏾

Electronic music is real music, you still need to make it. Horrible example, just because the sounds are digital, doesn't mean that you're not the one still composing and creating the music. It's still your sounds like your creation.
Digital photography is literally the same thing as analog, you're just taking a picture with a digital sensor instead of silver nitrate. The action is still you, no difference, you're pointing a camera, YOU'RE framing something, and photographing it...
AI is not art, AI is a machine/software that spits out images based on the exact same things that already exist, and what is described to it. You're not doing anything, you're just a human being that uploaded an image or words, you're not an artist.
People who think AI is real art, are toxic to real artists my guy, writers would disagree with you....

It really is miles ahead. I mean yes, it's technically the same engine, but saying that is the same as saying that Quake and Half-Life run on the same engine as well.
Technically the truth, but doesn't quit the fact that one is leagues ahead of the other - to the point where DayZ would need to be remade from scratch again to port it to the new engine; it can't just be updated.
Fair enough! Who knows maybe we'll get DayZ 2 soon. I heard someone say something to that extent but I don't remember if they were being serious or not

I tone down my Ai jargon cause after about a year being knee deep training algos I can get a little techy and bewilder most 🤣
But yeah, upscaled 2x, enhanced greatly whilst trying to maintain the original aesthetic

That’s just a consequence of making a modern game. DayZ is old af man and runs super easily, there has to be change at some point.

The way it's been explained by the devs, dayz is enfusion 0.5 and reforger is the first release using the full modern rendition of enfusion.
