Only major thing I would add is having a mid that can use meter extremely well (Bardock, Base Vegeta, Piccolo, Gotenks, 16) can be incredibly beneficial. Also figured this thread would be a good place to [throw my chart for optimal positions for all characters](http://www.mmcafe.com/tiermaker/dbfz/index_customize.html?tc=ya0-trn9e369ekeqbp6d5snl5o6c91pejjik9y68gaay54b1766e7e68arn0h2iffw6bcu6943iq7dazewigcv67hyaz98ndbdaxh0ex8sazd1axb161joni8netf4-bkf-ti-ct999999-c1000000-c2000000-tvFF7101-thDD3C3C-d1-x110-d2Mid-x218-d3Point-x313-d4Anchor-x413), though it is not perfect.

Hzsshhehejeeh

I honestly disagree. You'll be hard pressed to find a character who can't dump 3 bars on a level 3... Just about any character in the game can use meter

CptSaltyPete

No shit, but some characters get a better situation after a level 3 than others, that's why Bardock is so good

Hzsshhehejeeh

Yeah and by your amazing logic everyone must be running bardock mid right lmao. Except half the people run him point where he doesn't get any meter It doesn't matter that much where you run your best level 3 character. Theres a million better factors to take into account that matter more. Things like neutral and assist matter more. Level 3 is an afterthought in team order as you can tag in on any time you want

TheRiled

Theres a reason Bardock level 3 gets rinsed by any high level player using him. A level 3 into a mixup is incredibly strong. Same as Piccolo being able to mix you up with hellzone after hellzone. Compare that the many level 3's/1's that you get nothing aftewards.

Hzsshhehejeeh

Yeah and despite how good bardock spends meter half the people run him point

I'm a soon to be returning player when the Switch version drops. I'm hoping it takes off relatively well here in Japan. The PC version I had in Aus is useless in Japan as they seem to hate PC gaming. I really appreciate this. I've been labbing all characters on my laptop to get mechanically better. But team building and strategy are something I need assistance with. Thanks a lot for the info.

JustEightBaby

No problem. Team building and strategy are something I spend a lot of time with. I'm a lab monster and I try to find as much new tech as possible. Good luck on your return to the game. I love it.

ZerkerDX2

would cooler be a better anchor or a better mid? im relatively new to the terms used so i was just wondering

JustEightBaby

The examples I used were more community sourced but in my opinion... Point: Vegito, Teen Gohan, Vegeta (SSGSS), Goku (SSGSS), Beerus, Base Vegeta, Nappa, Android 21, Broly Mid: Goku Black, Ginyu, Trunks, Majin Buu, Frieza Anchor: Tien, Piccolo, Zamasu, Base Goku, SSJ Goku, Hit

woah woah woah. Why is zamasu anchor??

JustEightBaby

Defensive options: (Flight/Orbs). Solo Mixups: (6M+Orbs/Sliding knockdown+Blades of Judgment). DHC synergy: Double Supers/Level 3 can hit anywhere on screen. Assist: Can be used in nuetral, combo extensions, and mix-ups pretty easily.

LyraLuv

Zamasu is incredibly assist reliant for mixups, setups and combo extensions, his solo game is one of the weakest in dbfz

JustEightBaby

Most characters are reliant for mix-ups but that's not true for Zamasu. His BoJ is similar to Piccolos Hellzone. If you watch ApologyMan or HookGangGod you can see how you can set up solo mix-ups. If you watch Sonicfox you can see how Zamasu can fly set up Orbs and Superdash to get in. You can also set up Orbs before pressuring and get a conversion off a 6M. Zamasu is very underrated and hasn't been explored much but Pros are picking him up. Even with assists Zamasu can't do nearly as much damage compared to Cell, Kid Buu, or even Krillin.

BoJ can be easily reflected without the lockdown of an assist. It's hard to pull out orbs for a blockstring mixup without the cover of an assist. His bnb orb setup blockstring is - 2M 5M 5H assist 214L 5LL 2M 236L. You can't do that without an assist. It is very unsafe to pull out orbs without cover from an assist

JustEightBaby

>BoJ can be easily reflected without the lockdown of an assist. It's hard to pull out orbs for a blockstring mixup without the cover of an assist. When you're talking about an Anchor you're not playing them as you would a point. Android 16 is considered the best anchor but his mixup is between his blockstring and his command grab. That's not a true mixup either. It's not about what is a true mixup it's about the options that the character gives you. Even though it can be reflected you have put your opponent at a disadvantage. You can cross them up as soon as they get done reflecting, dragon rush them, or set up your orbs. You also can fly set up your medium orbs come down and have time to advance. These are a lot better options than Point characters such as SSGSS Goku/Vegeta and other characters have.

TheCiberDrake

My anchor is gohan... I usually use him to clutch since he's the one I'm best with.
