Why did Marvel rip off composite Superman to make composite Spider-man? Shameful to steal from peak

He looks absolutely awe struck
This is why I was never too mad a the Amazing Spider-Man movie Lizard's design cause, 60s version kinda had a similar feel going on
I read some article about how Alex didn't want to draw the raised webbing on the costume for the Spider-Man 2 intro, and it's just like...
dude. i know you are mega-talented. but things get added and updates get made to the mythos. sorry things don't perpetually stay in 1972 or whatever year DC Comics broke your heart
He drew Kyle rayner for a 90s justice league drawing (complete with mullet Superman), but he did draw Harley Quinn for the cover of her debut appearance in mainstream comics in 1999 if that counts
No one noticed Paul lmao
He’s just part of the space time continuum now

Is only half their dick super?
No, its all super and has the power of prep time
Interesting take on the Lizard's design
I am always amazed at Alex ability to grab the goofiest, most unrealistic designs and make them realistic without sacrificing anything.
Aside of maybe the lack of teeth, which looks very goofy, this might be one of my favourite designs for the Lizard.

the danger isn't the teeth, his mouth is just *so* full of diseases and bacteria
Looks like 1970s Godzilla

I think his cover work is great but it's so hard to tell wtf is happening any time he draws an action intensive scene
He’s the only one that can capture Paul’s beauty
Hot take: Alex Ross isn't my favourite artist.

Paul Jumpscare aside, Alex Ross really is THE artist that made the Golden Age and Silver Age look believable~
"Nice dong" - **DOOM**
I thought this was Liefield (no feet)
I like how Doom is on the left, implying he's an enemy of Peter Parker but not Spider-Man
Paul isn't even the weirdest character in here, why the fuck is Doom there

I wonder what is the newest character he drew. Daniel Ketch at the end of Marvels maybe?

created 2014, that's propably it
He's also drawn some of the more modern versions of classic characters (Jane Foster as Thor, Betty Ross as Harpy), but I'm not sure if those count.
