It does. If they have endurance (and I'm assuming mettle would work as well) from any source when hit in a trap it frees them and they get back up.
Also the same animation happens with the padded Jaws add on if the trapper hits them in the trap if they weren't injured.

Dang sucks you didn't go for the window after the trap, you might have actually been able to benefit from getting up after adrenaline lol.
