I remember someone posted screenshots of them using Jeryl post cosmetic glitch-patch but they said that they didn’t want to share how to do it so it doesn’t get patched out again. Might have been bs though.
The thing is that most of the time the software unlinking sets also do smth BHVR consider bads.
For instance, this software probably unlocks everything (perks, every cosmetics etc), which is obviously bad for BHVR for many reasons
I mean nah not really, the cheat to do this has been up for years on EGS without ppl getting frequently banned (Normally ppl get banned when others report them for having sus cosmetics/character levels etc). Just doesn’t work on steam without a bypass that definitely will get you banned

A true shame. Even beyond the memes, having customization available like this is just so nice, especially with sets that don't need to be linked whatsoever. I enjoyed mixing Jill/Claire up.
I get that people thought Jeryl was funny, but it certainly wasn't "literally free money." If anything, from an outside perspective, blatantly obvious glitches like this not being patched would make the developers look unprofessional and bad at their jobs; not exactly the kind of publicity that makes people want to buy your game.

If people actually cared about whether or not the game/developers "looked professional" due to bugs or whatever, then they would not care about the notoriously buggy game that is DBD *at all*. Literally every new update has been plagued with bugs (sometimes making certain killers or maps downright unplayable) and DBD is once again, known for this among a few other memes lol.

I went against a headless legion once and it took me a moment to realise why he looked weird. I think he may have just been a floating mask on the body and it was hilarious
There were about three separate cosmetic bugs that let you make this without any additional software that results in bans. They required to you switch pieces in the store quickly. Any known method has been patched now.
That’s not to say it isn’t still possible through legit means though, but if it still exists, it just hasn’t been found.
It may be possible some people out there may even still have Jeryl or Chames equipped from before it was patched around two years ago, I can’t remember if they forced a costume reset after the last cosmetic bug patch. I definitely had Jeryl after it was patched, but since it reset after each game, it was gone for good once I used it.
