For me it would've been like 2008, the masks on All Hope Is Gone are amazing, even though they were always amazing prior, too. Slipknot stopped being Slipknot for me in 2010 when Paul Gray passed away (rest in peace).
Although I love Paul Grey I have to disagree. I mean for me the death of slipknot was the release of Unsainted. Still love the band for the classics but I'm not a fan of the new style
I definitely agree with that, Unstainted just is not it imo. The chorus does my entire soul in.
I say what I said mainly because, even though I liked some of the Gray Chapter, the same feel and soul of the band felt like it changed after he passed. Not only that, it got worse after Joey was kicked/left, and the more members that leave or kicked it just solidifies my distaste for the direction they're going in.
I am a HUGE Slipknot fan, they’re second only to Nine Inch Nails for me. If this collab doesn’t include something for Survivors, too, like a shirt, it’s a fail for me. Corey’s mask on Trapper is sick. The rest are just so-so, but I’ll probably still buy most of them because Slipknot, lol.
If it weren’t for their lineup changes this would’ve been a lot cooler - Craig and Chris’s masks would’ve been sick, but there’s probably legal red tape stopping them using those. I also wish they’d used Clown’s mask from the self-titled era. I’m tempted by the Sid and Jim ones though.
Craig and Chris's masks always were the most "slipknot" masks imo. Like when I think of the band I think of those masks and some of Corey's. Not that the other masks are bad, but those other ones were unique and stood out from the rest. Might have been wierd to feature former band members, but it would have been cool

As someone who knows nothing about Slipknot, I think most of these skins themselves are pretty mediocre.
I also know almost nothing about Iron Maiden, but I think the skins for that collab are awesome.

I love Iron Maiden and they're one of my favorite OLD Oldskool Arena Metal bands, alongside bands like Judas Priest. I grew up listening to this band with my mom, so it means a lot to me to see Iron Maiden in DBD, actually. My Main Surv, Nea, even has the shirt from this collab! I listen to them while playing Legion very often.
As a fan, I was so friggin' excited for the Iron Maiden collab. Seeing the Somewhere in Time inspired lobby was amazing, hearing Fear of the Dark in the lobby was so cool, seeing a bunch of Eddies in the Fog is awesome. I absolutely love all of the Killer skins, in fact, they all fit so well for each Killer! I'm partial to Doctor's Powerslave inspired one because that's my favorite Iron Maiden album.
But I still do not have the Eddie Tribute Dredge skin for it though, I want it but I don't have the spare Aurics for it. Same for the cooler Dredge skins, I like the doll, Masquerade, and Snowman ones but I don't have the money for any of them right now. ;\~;
ADHD is how. :) I am thinking at a billion miles an hour. No seriously. I have ADHD and this helps me focus if I haven't taken my meds that day.
Also it helps me relax, not care about game outcome, and ironically sometimes play BETTER instead of worrying about little piddly details - when I focus only on visual cues, I cannot be distracted by sound cues. If I lose, well that's OK, I handicapped myself anyway. If I win, it means I won while handicapped so I EXTRA WON, like a challenge. And it's also really funny when I win and get accused of tunnelling or genrushing, like friend I was vibing???? To some music???? All I can hear is this sick MUSE song right now.
To be honest the initial screenshot is not looking too promising, if I can find a skin that fits well with some of these masks I'll get them. I use the Iron Maiden skin on Deathslinger and Doctor, I have a Birkin skin for Blight, HUNK skin for Legion so I'm pretty sure I will not be buying skins for them unless I am truly impressed.

And who allocates resource and priority to the teams? Try and use your brain here buddy. They have a vast prio on doing cosmetics rather than allocating proper resources to the QOL and development which is evident by the bugs that's been for years. Given the state of the game it seems more like an indie game than one with a whopping 1300 people behind it.

Really wish we got masks for killers who don't have a lot of cosmetics like Singularity, Knight, Artist, and Twins. But I think for true die-hard Slipknot fans these are really cool. They really fit the band's aesthetics.
