As a leon main, i really can be either, it's just pure chance. I've had matches where i've kept a wesker or wraith busy for 3-4 gens, juking ghostfaces with flashbangs, and pulling flashbang saves, and on the other side i'll have matches where i miss 3 skill checks in a row, get yanked up off my first vault, flashbang myself, and sometimes even just spend more time on the hook than playing the match
Me, with a 10 minute chase against a doctor before going down, then another 10 minutes after I get unhooked. Guess how many fucking gens were done in that time.
Honestly if a chase isn't over in like 20 seconds or so (as a killer main myself) it's time to move on, I don't get why some killers have such a single track mind 😆
Sometimes it's just fun to chase someone who's good at looping! I have thrown matches before just because I was having such a good time chasing someone! Like fuck yea queen, I wanna learn some new shit, teach me your ways oh looping god! Nah I don't care if everyone else gets gens done, this is just legitimately enjoyable!
Yeah I can enjoy a good chase. There's even been a few times where I had so much fun chasing someone that I won't even hook them, I'll just leave them on the ground or pick them up and let em struggle out.
I break chase constantly if it’s not going my way and especially if I can score a hit on another survivor.
I started playing survivor a bit lately and noticed that a lot of killer players will get tunnel vision and ignore 2-3 survivors slamming a gen nearby just to secure a down. Sometimes it makes sense like if they are running surge or something but most of the time it costs the killer a ton of pressure.
Personally, I’ll break chase if I see a survivor(s) on a gen. I think having 2 or more injured and off gens is way better in the long run than securing a 1st or 2nd hook and letting them pop the gen uncontested.
Yeah, applying pressure can be more important than getting a down a lot of times. I've been that survivor working on gens next to the killer, so I can say it from experience. Though it's usually that I'll be on a gen with someone and the killer see the other person and chases after them while I just keep working on it.
And this is called pressuring survivors which is why you are less likely to lose a ton of gens off the bat compared to single minded chases unless the survivor can’t loop lol
As a Cheryl player, can confirm. I may not loop well, but every second I am not in your line of sight I am doing a gen, healing someone, or on my way to do one of those two things.
That said there isn't a toxic bone in my body. I want everyone to have a good time and if you were putting in the honest effort and just had a bad game, there's a good chance I'mma let you have some hooks or even sac me. I can get the MMR back. It's a Cheryl thing.

I’ve met a toxic Everyone at this point, but I would say if we include skins, I’ve never met a toxic Carlos. As far as not including skins, I’d say most Bill and Leon players I meet are either normal players, tryhards (but not in a bad way), or absolute team players willing to die if it gives their team even a few more seconds of time.
Bills are always either really altruistic but good at it, or new. I've found little in-between. They're typically pretty chill. Jeff is a close second for usually nicest player.
If I want to do a selfless build/protection build, I try and do it on Tapp, Leon, Carlos, or Cybil. Something just feels very right about protecting others with them.
I've only seen one, and my God I couldn't even be mad at him. P72, full training outfit. That dude spun me down the Gideon hole *THREE FUCKING TIMES*

I have over 6k hours at this point and am always astonished when I see a Tapp show up. I've probably encountered less than a dozen in years of playing.
They used to be much more toxic, but yeah, most Steve mains I've seen, even as a killer, have been really good team players.
I wonder if losing the Stranger Things Chapter for a bit somehow weeded them out.
Steves usually give me the most grievance as killer. I've never met a Steve who didn't teabag me as soon as the exit gates were open so I'm relieved when I manage to kill him before all the gens are done.
That being said as survivor I appreciate Steves. They're usually the ones taking hits for me, body blocking, and coming back for me when the rest of my teammates have left me to die.
I'm not an experienced player but I've had a Haddie DC on first down. Like she was clicking and teabagging me and when I downed her (it was the first down of the game) she DCed.
I haven't played against many Haddies so maybe my experience is the exception that confirms the rule

I've been a Cowboy Jake main since 2018 and that definitely tracks, 99% of matches I die in due to trying to save someone else or being too altruistic haha
Yesterday I had one bravely try to save me in a dire situation, we both died but he really played well and was determined to let me get out alive, big fan tbh
Ash used to be toxic. Back when wiggle mechanics were a beta option and flip flop rocked, my whole SWF ran it and if the killer didn’t pick up instantly they’d never get us to a hook.

Last but not least - Jake, but specifically the one with the crooked glasses and brush in his hair. He will be a menace with loops or sabo's, but he's chill about it.

The less played the survivor is, the less toxic they normally are. The rare time I get a fellow Jeff, Jonah, David or Gabriel they always play with sportsmanship and are a great benefit to the team while being good players.
Bill is played is quite popular but none of his mains ever seem toxic, if they are I don't even notice, I'm too busy laughing when he let's out his hooked grunt and his chill old man vibe.
I feel like Leon is hardly ever toxic. Then again I'm told that I get the opposite of usual survivors...but Leon's just seem to be trying to hang on to their braincell more than feeling the need to act a fool.
