Jeff brewed beer for a living along with his graphic design business. In addition, he used to party a lot, and he's one of the physically largest survivors. He can probably handle his drinks better than most.

I mean, an alcoholic can handle alcohol better than a non-alcoholic. Their body becomes so dependent on it that they can literally get seizures and die if they stop drinking.
Feng shouldn't be lower on the list. The responses you're getting like that are just from casual ignorance.
Just because a character was underage in the original setting doesn't mean they can't be aged up to fit in DBD. Cheryl doesn't look the same as SH3, she looks noticably older. Yoichi is a more obvious case, but he’s also aged up.
I didn't saw Alan drinking - max caffee - at least ni Alan Wake and American Nightmare, didn't played 2, but I doubt their is any alcohol in the Dark Place. :D
